Really like the look of him.
Similar to Campbell but more of a football brain.
The through ball to Leaburn, I couldnt see TC doing that once in a thousand games.
I don't really like comments digging out one of our players in praise of another anyway, but it's worth noting that when young players first break through they play without fear or pressure and they often look like world beaters before the weight of things gets to them a bit more and they return to somewhere in the middle. Here's Campbell at 2:04 playing a sensational through ball to Leaburn 2 years ago when he was a bit fresher and a bit freer https://youtu.be/OpndBRYnBxg?si=8lMqNWVbinbMiF2S&t=124

Leaburn as well was scoring more goals when he first broke through because he was unfettered by the kind of pressure and expectation that he deals with now. Fullah looked amazing yesterday but there will come a point where he levels out a bit the same as any other player once he has expectations in the system the same as other more experienced players. I think we should enjoy this completely free playing Fullah while he's still fresh but I hope that if and when the time comes that he is a system player for us he doesn't end up getting talked about the way Leaburn and Campbell do on here.

Good sub, him coming on livened Campbell up as well
Could be that Campbell isn't a striker after all and that by Fullah coming on and allowing TC back out onto the left, he remembered what he was really good at.

TC's best for us has always as the left side of a 3 with Godden/Leaburn in the middle and Small/JRS on the right which is what he became when Fullah came on (with an added bit of defensive responsibility).

    Fullah was special though.

  • Think he’ll be best in the carey role, can pick a pass, press and good with the ball. Don’t expect him to be put in that position this season unless we’re 3-0 up with 30 mins to go at home which I’m guessing won’t happen much.

think the sky’s the limit for this lad. People around me thought it was tanto who made the interception and that turn, it looked like some one who’d been playing the game for years.

That’s where he played last night, though alongside Knibbs making a 4 man midfield with Carey and Coventry behind, rather than a 3 man midfield.

I think that’s less risky than putting him at wing back, where he’s the main defender against the oppositions winger.

Thought he was in the TC role when TC moved to LWB

Personally I never found trying to hurt your boss a good career move.

Seems that was where I went wrong! :-)

He sort of did both. Think he was given a bit of a free role which is the right thing to do for him in that situation

The pirouette was obviously very eye catching but it was the maturity of his passing in that cameo that really stood out. As others have said he seems to have that footballing brain which added to his other talents makes him a fantastic prospect.

The kid comes on and roulettes their player, leaving him for dead, and in the same moment, with only a split second glance of what's ahead of him, lays a splitting and inch-perfect pass to TC with the outside of his boot. Fook me.
This is an exact description of what I thought I saw, watching it on TV.  A brilliant moment of magic in an otherwise torpid clash.

So it was a surprise to see the slo-mo this morning, where he clearly passed with the inside of his left foot, to Leaburn!

If I hadn't seen it in replay, I would have sworn your description was entirely accurate.

Strange, isn't it? I think I might have been conflating two separate incidents into one.
  • He's gonna be some player this lad  A serious talent

I thought it was Tanto and was surprised as I didn't think he had that in his locker.  Then I saw it was Fullah.  What a baller he looks

The appreciative noise was similar to the sound I make when I walk in on my wife undressing for bedtime. I think Nathan enjoyed Ibby's performance quite a lot!

Could be our next Lookman. Still early days. It from what I’ve seen of him in the U21s and cup games is anything to go by, then we have some player coming through.

Kid is our best academy player in a long time, he has something special, will overtake Campbell in a couple of months
Can't you praise one of our youngsters without having a dig at another one?

Played well yesterday, you could see the inexperience (TC was making runs that he didn't see). Apart from that solid performance!

Played as a Left CAM in a 3421. Problem is where he fits in if we play 352. He’s not a natural striker/winger, can’t drop Carey could play Fullah at LWB but he would want to operate in that same space as TC and a big ask for him to play the Docherty role in terms of physicality. Interesting to know from NJ how he views him
