I can get off the train at bromley south walk two minutes to a pub and then 15 minutes to bromley fc.
At the moment you've named 5 grounds out of 241 -

The Angerstein Hotel is a minimum 15 minute walk and is awful.
I'm assuming the Anchor & Hope lets away fans in, even worse than the Angerstein.1 -
I think The Valley has become a much less attractive fixture for away fans since the demise of the Antigallican. I think it’s a real shame2

The Anchor in Hope was always a well looked after pub….OK, it’s some years since I was last there but I am surprised you are giving it such a poor rating. 🙁1

I go to the anchor and hope when there are no trains to Greenwich. Its location is good, enjoyable if the weather is nice! It does what it says on the tin, it gets beers in me before 90 minutes of Valley pain. Its not the best pub in the world but its also not the barge pole!!1

The Anchor & Hope is fantastic pub. Whenever I have mates down for a visiting side that's always the place we go.2

Last time i was there it was a Greene King pub, they didn't have a great selection of beers. It was Fosters, Moretti etc and the cask beer tasted bad.follett said:

Sutton hung on for a few seasons probably due to the euphoria of actually getting to the EFL .. no real reason why Bromley can't do the same especially if there is a bit of investment in players even after the necessary cost of a new playing surface1

The pitch thing, I do have a problem with, 3G pitches should be a thing in the bottom 2 leagues, no real reason not to, and the Championship clubs who keep blocking the move, need to get over themselves.2

Bromley get a lot of stick for their pitch but it's been such an asset for them. Real shame they're going to have to dig it up. Finished 8th in 21/22, 14th in 22/23 and 23rd in 23/24.
In general teams coming up from the National league do ok in the first season but then they either get worse or improve and challenge for promotion in subsequent seasons.
Sutton, unfortunately for them, got worse.0 -

Finnish Veikkusliiga use 3g pitches, almost all clubs in Finland do.ElfsborgAddick said:

Disagree. Football is a game played on grass. With the advances in grass pitch maintenance, etc, and the quality of grass pitches generally now (where people bemoan the fact there may be a small patch not completely covered in grass) I would say the case for artificial pitches at a professional level has diminished, rather than increased.

Re pubs near Hayes Lane, I went to a little micro pub called the Bitter End last time I went to a Bromley match. It was really good and I’m sure it was only 10/15 mins walk.2
