  • Amazing how many keepers go down "injured" these days from no contact at all. The commentators still fret and worry, whilst commenting that the sub keeper isn't warming up.

    Just call it out ffs.

Am shocked Joe Lumley is starting in the Prem. A keeper I wouldn't even be that confident in having at Charlton.

Also surely lose and Martin goes? They've got to at least give themselves some chance of getting out of this.
Lumley was a "free" last season and when Southampton signed Ramsdale they probably never envisaged having to play him but, with both Ramsdale and Bazunu injured, the alternative is McCarthy and he had a nightmare against Liverpool - he looks incapable of playing a ten yard ball to one of his own players which is a bit of an issue when the manager insists on the team playing out from the back.
Having 2 keepers injured is pretty ridiculous!

Potentially 3 keepers - Lumley having treatment now.
    But no, Lazarus has risen!

VAR too busy scanning the crowd to see if anyone ate their burger wrong and put the defender off in the build up before they gave their decision...
  • 10 mins added time.

Alan Smith “well I don’t know where that’s come from”

Probably from the 9 mins waiting for VAR I reckon Alan, you monotonous bore
Can’t stand Alan Smith, why does he keep on getting work?
  • Apologies to any Brighton fans, as I cursed them by bringing Joao Pedro into my fantasy team and captaining him.

There must be something in his sky contract that says he has to be co-comms on Spurs game.  Cant stand him.
  • Jesus. It's even worse listening to these people try to explain why the offside decision was made.
  • Not seen tonight’s incident but these idiots are ruining football. VAR should be for clear and obvious errors only. Two looks at it, say 20 seconds allowed to do so, will tell if it’s a clear and obvious error. Anything more and it’s not clear and obvious, get on with the game.
    Yep.

But that ship has long sailed. The lunatics have taken over the asylum.

  • YET another late equaliser for Palace, means they exit the bottom 3.

I genuinely think the people running VAR at each game are absolute idiots.

How can they spend 4 minutes drawing lines to check whether Archer was offside, then when they see he was onside, they then go 'oh well the guy in the middle was interfering'. If you thought he was interfering then surely that's the first thing you look at and it's a decision that takes 5 seconds and not 5 minutes.
  • Arsenal certainly look like they're back in business, good win last week v Forest, destroyed Sporting in midweek and are now cruising past West Ham.

Saka is absolutely terrorising their defence here.
  • As good as Arsenal have been this is embarrassing from West Ham.
  • West Ham showing some fight now
  • West Ham fans heading back from Stratford tube en masse!

  • Crazy game!
  • 2-4, what a game!
  • I do hope West Ham come back to win. Especially for all those so called fans of theirs that decided to walk out at 0-4, hopefully only to find out the result when they get home.

    Maybe not as 2-5 now.
  • There have been more goals in this half than Burnley have conceded this season in 18 Championship matches.

    2-5
A strong bit of fisting for the penalty but a weaker hand as Saka scores Arsenal's 2nd pen of the 1st half.
  • Not a bad half for Saka, 2 assists, then fouled for a penalty, then scored.
  • Good thing I wasnt watching... It would have been 0-0 @ HT!!

Not a very good for Fabianski though. Conceded 5 goals, gave away a penalty and was booked too. Fortunately he's on my bench.

In that case, please don’t watch the 2nd half.
