Quite a few British players now playing in Serie A, McTominay about to be the latest.

I hadn't noticed that Che Adams had gone to Torino, joining the likes of Tomori, Loftus-Cheek, Smalling, Keinan Davis, Ben Godfrey and Tammy Abraham in Serie A.

Lewis Ferguson at Bologna was named the best midfielder in Serie A last season
  • Palace have agreed a deal to sign Nketiah.

Chelsea have apparently made a bid for Ivan Toney.

I guess the Osimhen bid hasn't materialised then, unless the Arsenal link is true.

Sterling being swapped with Sancho hasn't materialised yet then?

Actually a sensible transfer from them if it happens.

The one position they keep overlooking whilst signing 21 year old midfielders for 3 times their real value.

allegedly was offered to Spurs in a part swap deal for Reguillon as they need cover at LB.

They need cover at left back? They had it in Maatsen.

United need cover for Shaw/Malacia, I think, so Sancho/Reguillon not Sterling/Reguillon I think, may be wrong though!

Palace may have priced themselves out of anyone doing a deal with them. Can see Newcastle going in for Gomez instead and leaving Guehi at the Stripeys

to lose one centre back (Andersen) is careless, to lose two would be gross negligence

Slight plot twist now where Liverpool are apparently thinking of readying a bid for Guehi. Interested to see if it's a swap deal with Gomez, if he's sold elsewhere or if they're just adding to the group

Bournemouth sign Kepa on loan, I wonder what % of his wages they are paying?

Liverpool getting Chiesa for what looks like an absolute steal.

If they can get a defender in as well then I think they are going to be really strong this year.

How on earth is Chiesa only £10m?!

    Had a lot of injuries.

    Bargain if he stays fit.

    A number of reasons apparently.

Out of contract next summer, new Juve manager Motta wanted rid of him, very injury prone.

Palace are signing a French centre back from Wolfsburg so he replaces Andersen.

  • I missed that Liverpool have signed the Georgian keeper who was class in the Euros.

Leaving him at Valencia for this season on loan.

Only 23, seems like their long term replacement for Alisson.

He was offered to Spurs earlier in the window and we said no because of his injury record (allegedly!)
At £10m, that would have been worth a punt in my eyes.

Agreed, i think i'd rather have Chiesa for 10m instead of Werner on loan.

Chiesa for £10m is one of the steals of the window , yes he's had injuries but he's an incredible talent. Liverpool have struggled in attacking areas with injuries to the likes of Jota so another option in there is a very smart move.

We was discussing this exactly this morning.  Now with Odobert in, we've got 3/4 players vying for a LW slot in Sonny, Odobert, Richarlison (where he played his best stuff for Everton) along with starlet Mikey Moore.  Solanke is covered by Richarlison and Lankshear (in the U21s), on the right there's Kulusevski, Johnson and either Porro or Spence can fill in, as has Pape Mate Sarr... so where the hell does Werner fit in?  I dont think he does.  Strange decision to bring him back.

Chelsea are 28/1 to win the Prem this season .. worth a wee bet ? (Spurs 33s, Man U 40s)

    No chance with their defence.

Summer spending from the three promoted sides.

    Ipswich - £109m
    Southampton - £100m
    Leicester - £75m

Leicester did sell Dewsbury-Hall for £30m to satisfy FFP so their net spend isn't that great.

The issue with promoted sides is that they can end up signing quantity rather than quality.

Jesus wept. How Dunk was anywhere near the England squad, god only knows.
