Agree wholeheartedly. Killer should be retired from the club nickname roster, out of f#@king respect!

    Bit harsh on NabySarr
  • Although it took a while his goal scoring and importantly all round play has proven him to be a decent replacement for May.

Don't get why people have to compare.

Two good League 1 players that I'm glad we signed.
But if you had to choose between the two of them? ;)

Superb game today, he’s a better all round player that’s for sure

It's taken a long time, but he's now our first choice striker.

I expected him to do well for us, he was a decent player for Coventry, so down a division his football intelligence is a real asset

Would have preferred his former strike partner, but Viktor Gyökeres is probably out of our price range  :D

In addition to the most recent posts on this thread re his finishing and movement, I was particularly impressed by his aerial ability today. He times his jumps so well and his spatial awareness is so good. Did those headers sometimes go nowhere? Yes, but often after an out-ball where the extra few seconds bought by winning the flick on to no one allowed us to regroup, too.

He leads the line excellently. It is lovely to see.

He plays about 5 steps ahead of any defenders he comes up against, his experience and hold up play up top makes us look so much more dangerous, and the ability to seemingly flick anything that falls to him in the box into the back of the net is great

Reminds me of Deon Burton in a way, except he's a poacher rather than link player. Does well in his role because he's an intelligent player, despite not being the biggest or most physical.

Always feels a sign of us having a good team when we don't rely on a big physical target man. So often in the past we're only effective when we have that type of player up front.

Great that we have Leaburn as alternative, both have had good runs of scoring this season. On paper they should play together, but we have such a good balance with TC drifting left to add width and pace, allowing Edwards to sit (but still get forward at times) and Small to get forward with cover from Ramsay.

Not sure why we needed Danny Hylton when Godden could teach the young lads so much more.

To teach them "tomfoolery", as NJ called it. Like the time he got a yellow card despite being on the bench.

So he can finish his coaching exams
  • I think Goddens been great, just gets on with it, and does his job.

Tim Cahill was, equally, superb in the air and yet was barely 5' 10'' whereas it was said about Peter Crouch that he was never as good as he should have been because, from a young age, he never had to jump in order to win the ball in the air. I do wonder whether that is the reason that Myles doesn't win as many flick-ons as he should given his size?

Think he’s my favourite player , such intelligence and speed of thought
his touches in the lead up to the goal were Prem quality .

I also like the much maligned Luke Berry , he’s too clever for half our space cadets , players who go forward will potentially win us the play offs

Berry is now playing like the sort of player we were led to believe we’d signed

Berry’s finish is exceptional, to get that under control off the post from distance is class

He is better than Alfie May in my opinion, if you were to offer me a straight swap now I would keep the sniffer dog

Maybe when he scores we need to play ‘who let the dogs out’.
