  • Didn’t even know he was still on the pitch until he had that massive panic he had  with the throw in at the end. Appalling player.

Thought he had one of his better games today. Made some good challenges and was happy to drive forward down the right. Not amazing still but closer to the player I thought we'd signed
Agree with this, the only performance I've seen so far where it looks like there could be a player there. Certainly has some pace still.
  • Carried the ball very well today, hopefully he can build on this and put together a run in the team

Agreed one of the few games i've noticed him. Still hope there's more to come from him yet, not writing him off just yet.
  • I agree with everyone above.
It was his best game for Charlton, he meaningfully contributed for the first time (ignoring goal v Bolton).
First game where I noticed he was playing/contributing.
It only took until December and he’s supposed to be Championship quality.

This guy has got to be my current favourite player. Never in my supporting history has one player so epitomised the rest of the team. Well done Greg, captain of the worst team we've had in living memory. One for the CV.
Disagree. This years team is better than the team we had 12 months ago. Do you not remember drawing 1-1 at home against a pub team and being out side the relegation zone by a point?
Last seasons side has a better record than this current lot after 18 league games

Wasn't it this time of year when it totally went south though?

It could go south again from now. No point arguing with the facts

Of course but a stat is also useless without context

Comparing this years and last years team is like deciding your favourite colour between grey and brown.
    Grey
  • Credit where credit is due - absolutely superb today
Yep. Where's he been all season?
  • Yep, fair play, very good today. Let’s hope he keeps it up!
  • Played as the clear ball winning box midfielder, which is what he is, and looked a totally different player.

The problem is that Jones is surely going to say "see I told you he was actually good," NOT realise that he is good WHEN HE'S PLAYED IN THE RIGHT ROLE.
  • Well he's got nine months off from the missus now, so might as well throw himself into improving his form as a Footballer ;) - Congratulations to both him and his partner though

He was excellent vs Birmingham as well, in fairness, but point stands that it’s been too little and too infrequent from him to date. Hopefully he kicks on from here.

    Nice one.

To be honest, he's made such an impact with me I didn't even know he was Scottish until I listened to that.
  • Maybe he hasn't been giving 100% in games before now because he was too busy trying to score back at home?

Now that's over and done with he can concentrate on his football
