that Australian called 'Raygun' reminded me of an amateur trying to do breakdancing whilst not really achieving much at all. looked so out of place. she just rolled around the floor.
my wife thought it looked like one of those tv shows with a pro dancer teaching a celebrity to dance

It was surreal. I half expect her to be revealed as a 'Rob and Romesh vs' type comedian from Oz.
Two days to go and I’ve managed to watch not a single solitary minute (well other than the clip in you tube of the funny Walker woman who celebrated too early and got passed on the line).
I think we needed to take a lap if we were to have any chance at gold, but taking a lap essentially eliminates you from the sprints as it takes a lot out of you

I think we missed a trick not going to the 20 points. I knew the Netherlands did and only got bronze but it seems mad not to go for it early on & then just pick up a few 1's & 2's in the sprints.

I think we wasted too much energy on 2 lap sprints anyway. Too much energy unless you get 3 points

We were marked targets, the other big teams wouldn't let us go for 20pts. Everyone else would just put in more effort making a break away almost impossible.

Can someone just summarise what the fudge is going on in this cycling flinging ride?
It's tag-team wrestling but on bikes. There are two of them in the team but only one's racing, the other just circles round slowly taking a breather. They tag each other when they're swapping who's doing the racing. Usually they do a hand-sling where the one who's currently active gives the other one a bit of a push when they hand over, but they're not obliged to do that.
Commentators hate it because half the riders need to be ignored, but they're wearing the same kit as the others. It's very popular at track cycling meets due to the potential for complete carnage.
They ran so well but two iffy exchanges probably cost the Gold as Neita would've been in the lead on the final hand over and had a great chance of Victory.

these Chinese girls are impressive, that gymnastics base will shine through
Our tactics seemed a bit off, but a great final sprint to get the silver.
Apparently it's organised chaos according to Neah Evans who tagged Elinor Barker who surged on the finals laps to grab silver instead of Bronze.
netherlands gold and silver for oz.
