Interesting to hear his comments on the pros and cons of loans and why games like this are useful.1 -

Wingate FC were named after Ord Wingate, the British Army Officer who lead the Chindits in WW2 and who is now buried in Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, USA.5 -

Must be worth a place on the bench2
-
Loving that he went for the overhead kick rather than a header for th second.

Couldn’t make either match as I was at a gig, but when I saw the attendance at Wingate & Finchley I remembered a banner their supporters used to have: “More flags than fans.”6 -

All of that was better and purer than anything(admittedly limited ) I’d seen from him before . There’s some hope there.
In the previous stuff I’d seen he looked a bit too raw and I presumed that’s what he’s been showing in training hence his lack of first team game time , maybe he’ll get some more minutes soon.1 - Sponsored links:

I was at the game. He scored 4 and missed about 7. In the last 25 minutes Wingate were dead on their feet. Dixon does not look ready for first team football to me.8

I’m sure there’s potential there with Dixon, but it all feels very similar to Chris Dickson’s time here. The highlights and goals don’t show other areas of his game that are probably the reason for his lack of game time in the first team.0 -
But of the seven chances he missed, how many did he make for himself out of nothing? Several of those he did score were just that, and not many players on our books would have scored.0

Only the first could anyone say he made out of nothing.
Also to say few players on our books would have scored ignores the level of opposition and that there were five other goals scored by our players on the night.

The difference with his almost namesake is his age.1 -

Tell me which of his goals were Docherty, Campbell or Coventry capable of scoring? Because they are current shoe-ins for our midfield, all having played Premiership football.0 -

Well he's unlikely to replace one of our three defensive midfielders under NJ. Hylton/Dixon, its a toughie!0

Kanu scored goals for fun in the U21s, M'Bick and Casey scored 40 goals each so yes other players could and did score those goals.
And whether it was a 50/50 pass or not (it wasn't) it was still a pass so not a goal created out of nothing as you claimed..
You are also ignoring both the level of the opposistion and that 6 goals in the last 30 minutes shows they were knackered.
Dixon is fast and skillfull and could be a real asset for us but this game will be one of the easiest he will ever play for us.

The Sutton Common v Dulwich Hamlet match has been moved back to 3rd February. The winners meet Charlton in the Quarter Final3

Final score from Carshalton... (sadly couldn't be there)Sutton Common Rovers 0-3 Dulwich Hamlet
So it's Charlton v Dulwich in the quarter-final!1 -
Nice. Might be tempted to pop along to that.0

Will that automatically be played at Dulwich's ground?0

I hope it's at Dulwich, although the U21s have been using Dartford this season (including a Premier League Cup match against Stockport tomorrow night)0

The Dulwich Hamlet team tonight included 37-year-old Mark Marshall and former academy player Ralfie Hand was on the bench.4
