  • That is one hell of a match report. Take this bit:

Charlton Athletic grabbed the lead, following their first attempt on goal, with seven minutes and 58 seconds on the clock.

No one in a Fisher shirt pressed Ibrihim Fullah in the middle before he played the ball out to winger Tagoe on the left, who got the better of Fisher right-back Jack Gibbons and fizzed in a low cross which was tucked home first time by Rylah with his right-foot from inside the six-yard box in the middle.

    Seven minutes and fifty-eight seconds.

  • According to the London FA website:

Wingate & Finchley v Charlton Athletic, Tuesday 10 December, 7.45 kickoff.

    Ticket prices to be confirmed.
  • Although Wingate & Finchley haven't announced ticket details for the game, we do know that for the second round game they charged £12 adults, £8 concessions, £5 under-18 and under-11s free.

Jeez Fisher only charged us £8

£12 for a London Senior Cup match would be ridiculous.

Even EFL trophy matches are £10, FA Cup v Walsall £10, shouldn't be charging more than £8-£10 for a London Senior Cup game

According to the Wingate & Finchley website it's now scheduled for Tuesday 26 November. Still 7.45pm, but 2 weeks earlier. It isn't showing on our website, but we do seem to have an away game at Bournemouth on 10 December so it looks like the revised date is correct.
  • I can confirm that the match against Wingate & Finchley will take place on Tuesday 26th November. Unfortunately, it is the same night as the first team game at Burton Albion, but was the only date available for both sides.
  • Will someone correct the date on the header for this thread, please?

I've been going to W&F occasionally over the last 10yrs or so. I think it's usually £12 to get in these days, regardless of the competition. It's a funny old ground and shares a stand with the rugby club next door. One stand back to back - quite an odd but strangely handsome construction, for all you architect addicts out there! There's a decent bar and food is good on league match days, but not sure what would be available for this game. It's kinda remote, but worth a visit if you're a ground hopper and want to tick it off your list 🙂
  • Getting to Wingate and Finchley using public transport.
When i visited the ground I took a a tube to East Finchley(Northern Line) and from outside the station took the 263 bus which takes about 20 minutes, it's then about 5 minutes walk to the ground.
If coming by car the postcode is N12 0PD.

Yeah, the Finchley tubes are all relatively close, then a bus. New Southgate on the overground is the same. Classic Charltonlife chat 🙂
  • West Finchley is the nearest station, if you're not planning to catch a bus.

Been to the ground once. It was freezing, so the Guinness I was drinking while watching the match stayed rather cold!
