Any idea what the injury is and how long he’ll be out for?
I should imagine he will be back fighting fit a week before his deal runs out and Jones will
extend if until the end of the season as “we didn’t have much time to work with him”
  • I thought it was said earlier that he is working on a coaching badge and he needed to be linked to a football club to do so. If anyone knows better I will be interested

From his LinkedIn presumably he has his UEFA B License and is working towards UEFA A. I remember someone saying he needed to work for a club too, but can't remember who and what thread.

No clue but he’s injured. Does make a mockery of the signing right now, no matter how he might be around the place, you have staff for that role and senior players.
The morale of the physios has never been higher though.
  • Well, how was he?
  • Reminded me of the old style testimonial games when a place on the bench and you played for the last 10 minutes was auctioned off

    Turns like a Boeing 747

Did well down the right at one point to run with the ball in their half, hold it up and wait for others.

    That was really it though

Godden wasnt overly visible either today for context, apart from a long shot that almost dipped from distance

Yeah he offered nothing really. Held onto the ball a couple of times and laid it off when it was passed directly into his feet.

But was not up to the pace of play at all.

Hopefully we see Aneke and Ahadme back soon.

I understand wanting a couple of strikers on the bench but I’m disappointed Dixon was dropped today.
Hylton being in our playing squad in front of Dixon is a glaring side of our football idealisms.

    Sadly.
Jones wants two strikers on his bench - playing two up top and with two others injured, it’s going to mean your 6th choice striker gets on. I don’t think it’s deeper than that.
  • Looked desperate to get sent off...

  • Disappointed there wasnt a guard of honour for the substitution from both sets of players.

Not right that Valiant 1000 didnt receive the introduction that was so well deserved, and so long in coming.
  • You’re all talking shit but we’ve never lost a match when Danny Hylton has played
One goal scored and none conceded with him on the pitch…

Dixon is probably the better player and we don’t have many players with pace and skill. I’m not sure what qualities Hylton adds outside of his attitude and as Jones called it “tomfoolery”.

I agree with you, it’s not the choice I would make because I don’t see what he adds.

I also forgot about DK’s injury so really we’re looking at Hylton being 7th choice…
  • His appearance will live long in the memory.
