    I hate this thread, it's always make me look stupid because Jones always admittedly seem to pull it out the bag and get the job done, he can be odd at times in his decision making and reactions which can rile people up but as a whole for us he is an excellent manager and if you look at the likes of TC, Leaburn, Coventry, Jones he must be a brilliant coach as they have all improved hugely under him.

    He’s a good manager no doubt about that and agree that he has his own mind and has something to say rather than the bland coached drivel - says it as it is - we’re gonna benefit from his lack of popularity as less likely to be poached

    I do get a niggling feeling every time a job higher up the division comes up that someone might try and open chequebook us for Nathan but they just end up going for some European instead.

    No one would ever consider Nathan Jones except probably Cardiff. The ownership would instantly face backlash from their fans about hiring a man they all think is a twat and doesn’t play a style that would be desirable.

    I think Jones knows there is a big risk leaving us and has set himself goals so I would expect him to stay for a while.

    Has done okay in terms of results but the football is pretty dreadful to watch. I can't imagine any club at a higher level being in a rush to employ him.

    Let's face it, if he had never been our manager we probably wouldn't want him either.
    He has this image/personna that tends to irritate neutrals and maybe even some of our own.
    Who cares, we are on an upward trajectory so he is alright by me.
    Everybody else can just do one

    Without Jones we could have ended up in league 2 or mid table league 1. Man is a great manager at this level you look at the players he has had at his disposal and look what he has achieved.

    He should be lauded alongside Bowyer and Powell (but below curbs). He has saved us and pushed us on through sheer will power and no money.  Keep on being you Jonsey.

    Nathan Jones I don't think would ever get picked up by a team looking to be promoted. 
    He's the kind of manager that takes over a struggling club and builds it from the ground up in his own image.

    FFS. If we tried to play more expansive football we would still be rotting in league one. He took us up and kept us up without any type of budget to do so. This is a results business and he has exceeded expectations.

    He’s the perfect fit for us. I think he absolutely loves being the underdog. A lot of managers would moan about having one of the lowest budgets in the league but he boasts about it. 

    Also in an interview today he said he keeps getting told by his wife to think before he speaks. A couple of sentences later he said he would take a bullet for his dog. How can you not love the man lol.

    He has earned the right to have another go even if we are relegated, so dull as fuck is what we have .
    We’re a minge of a club scrapping around to survive in the championship, this is the new norm for Charlton because we have been sooooo shit for so long .
    all the while our scummy neighbours are pushing for promotion and the stripey twats are winning trophies and playing around in Europe , still nick a 0-0 against Bristol city and all will be good in the dullard world of Charlton Athletic Football Club

    I always say it, start to judge a team after 10 or so games, not the first 3 or 4.
