I bet I am not the only lifer here who was at the Valley the last time we played a league game against Wrexham at the (old and beloved) Valley. It was a 1-0 win on the second of February 1982, with an attendance of 4561 of us. It was a 'division two' (nowadays the Championship) match. We have not played each other in any competition since then.
I also remember going to Wrexham around one Christmas back in the day when we won 3-0. Powell played a superb game that day.
Anybody remember our goalscorer the last time we played?
December 74, not that I was there
Jeez nearly fifty years ago!
I am trying to track down the name of our last goalscorer against them in 82.
A lot of you seem to be missing the point. Merchandise like this aren’t aimed at Charlton fans, these are for the day trippers and those coming to see Wrexham.
The club shop will be full of them and posing for selfies outside
No one is missing the point, we know exactly who it's aimed at.
But if a random guy wants to try and shift some scarves on a stall outside the ground for a few quid then fair enough but it's pretty pathetic that the club are selling these officially.

I can understand Cray Paper Mills doing it when playing us in the Cup or us doing it when we played Man U.....but not a league game match when we are "equals". Also, we are arguably the bigger club, and have been for the last 30 years.
I'm just hoping we are being trolled & its all a wind up.
Half & half Scalfs , having to stand up to let people through to their seats , KO times interrupting their Sunday dinner , people don’t half get upset about the strangest things these days .
This match is turning into pukesville big time, half and half scarves, whatever next...a fu*kin' guard of honour as they take to the pitch, bloody welsh upstarts, sounds like a good game to miss rather than a sell out...🥱

We're gonna play the national anthems before kickoff and unfurl a Welsh flag and an English flag on the pitch beforehand. Also each team will give eachother pennants. We'll also wear our away kit at home so we don't confuse the day trippers expecting to see Wrexham in Red

Header from Gritty at the south end of the ground, think the cross was by Steve Browne on his one appearance for the club. No, I didn't look up the video, stuff from those days is etched on my brain. Yes, a saddo.
Half and half scarves are so tinpot, you would never see these at a big club. In fact the last time I saw one was at Old Trafford for the cup game a couple of years ago. Oh hang on .....
Embarrassing and pathetic. If it would actually make good money then maybe there’s an argument for it (but still no). Make us a laughing stock for the sake of selling 20 or so scarves

Glad Saturday is my last game for a while. Lost our soul.
Legend.

Any sort of welcome should be drowned out by a very loud VFR
It's the hope that kills you
