Gillespheys' Diagonal Punt

I have alittle side bet on how long in to the game it is before Gillesphey does his diagonal punt forward. On Saturday it was 7 mins 58 secs. Unusually it wasn't too bad a ball.
Best I've timed is 12 mins and that was to nobody.

    I know he scored with his head on Saturday but defensively he has a fifty pence piece shaped head . Those long balls are pretty pointless also .

    Looks like he doesn't enjoy heading the ball, particularly when it's a lofty one coming down hard. (Oo err).

    Our style of play is horrible to watch but in fairness to NJ, Edwards long diagonal from just past the half way line did get us our first goal on Sat.

    If you keep doing it every week you will get some joy eventually.

    He definitely did, or at the very least meant to head it back across goal, it's what every player is taught to do in that situation

    Fancy giving away our tactics before a game. There was a Southend fan on here yesterday. If he reports back then that's Saturday's game lost in an instant !

    Miguel Llera too, for all his other faults.

    With the likes of Leaburn, Aneke, and Ahadme to hit with it, or balls down the channel to TC, having some quality distribution from left centre back could be a potent weapon. Gillesphey thinks he has it in his locker, which is why he keeps trying it, but he is deluded.

    "Punt" can also be used as a verb to mean deciding not to do or include something. For example, "We were running out of time, so we decided to punt the sightseeing and just go shopping". 

    Sums up MacGil perfectly.

    I was not aware of options (because I am useless and dont look around me) so I punt it upfield and absolve myself of responsibility. Or I could pass it to Alex and stitch him up.

    Before the season kicked off, I said that if he was anywhere near the starting 11, we'll be nowhere near the top 6. He's not doing anything to dispell my opinion of him.

    Sarr's balls were beautiful. It helped we had players that could read a ball.

    Llera's were okay. Far from ideal. 

    Gillesphey's are blue, cos they never cum good.

    Llera's were the absolute epitome of hit and hope. People just thought at the time that they were something better because he took a little bit of time over them. They were still shite. Like Llera in general, really.
