The only thing he has done wrong is film it. Have that conversation with his mates in the pub and he is right!
This is true but i suppose an equivalent for people in a 'normal' job would be if you were filmed slagging off one of your companies clients. People moan about their clients all the time in the office/pub etc but if that client saw the video I'm not sure you'd be able to continue in your job for very long.
Looks like the poor bloke was being a bit of a twat with what he thought was a close mate and he’s since been stitched up something rotten.
Dread to think how much trouble I would be in over the years talking shite with friends. Camera phones are evil,
Talking directly to the camera, he was fully aware of a video being taken, rather than being blindsided by somebody sneakily recording him. To me, he looks the victim of his own arrogance.
He hasn't said anything most people don't say about people they come across at work, the issue was filming it. It looks like it was probably sent to a groupchat of sorts and you never know what's going to happen there. He's basically made it impossible for the PGMOL to assign him any Liverpool games going forward at the very least
In the Woolwich and District league if the referee didn’t show up there were usually two choices. One was called ‘ref as we go’ otherwise known as not having a ref, the other would be a very reluctant home ‘manager’ reffing, usually from one corner of the pitch giving decisions from sometimes eighty yards away. They should bring that back. Play Danny Hylton in a game without a ref, and he would be the dominant voice, or go to Stevenage and watch Evans do the job gasping and reddening from by the players tunnel. Or referee by drone, with a Pentagon or GCHQ place stocked with geeks watching screens doing the job (VAR is not a million miles away from ‘ref by drone’). I have refereed, and got sick of the abuse from players who had not even read the laws. I can’t prove it obviously, but I would bet that Klopp and 97% of managers, players and fans have never sat down and read the laws of football. Yet they’re all experts. Yeah right. You read it here first, in the future refereeing will be done by clusters of drones under the auspices of artificial intelligence.
He actually has a history of bad decisions against Liverpool. The Pickford foul on Van Dyke being the worst. He wasn't going to give the foul on Salah on Sunday, which Nunez scored. Several other contentious decisions. The worst decision was not awarding a penalty against Rodri a few years back which handed City the title over Liverpool.

Coote made a sign meaning no foul on Salah but Michael Oliver was the Ref the day the assault on Van Dijk by Pickford took place. Was Coote the 4th official or the VAR that day ?
He definitely wasn't the ref.
VAR checked to see if Van Dijk was offside which he was and didn't bother with the karate scissors kick which ending up in a ACL injury.

I know it been a while, but he had refereed Charlton once.

Had it on good authority that Coote has had a bad split up with that fella next to him, hence the leak
