Even if we had the money available to buy players in January , who in their right mind would come to us?
If Jones is still in charge we'll end up getting desperate players whose legs have gone such as Hylton , Greg Docherty and Alan Campbell. Why didn't we use the Loan market in the summer to bring in some young quality prospects as we have done in recent years ?
Another season over before January. Wonder how long it will be before the investors start getting restless. Methven and co should be shitting themselves right now.
Spoke to CM at Exeter, asked him if we don’t go up, do they walk, he insisted they won’t, they are here for the long haul were his words.
Need players in Jan. To many poor players in the side coupled with a terrible injury list. I'm not one, yet, calling for NJ's head, just swapping managers hasn't worked over the last few seasons, and anyway who is available that could change this around without spending money? However, the current side have no fluidity, midfield is static going forwards, and the defence without Jones and Ramsay is poor. Miles needs help, he needs someone to deliver balls into the box. Once we went to 10 men we looked a bit better, but that's not saying much. We must beat Burton and Walsall, this side needs confidence. Finally the owners need to dig deep and get some playmaker's into the side.
why would we get any better players in January, the only reason to get players in is so we can guarantee to have 15 players available for a match.
Why not? The current squad are not good enough. Hylton, A Campbell, Potts, Anderson, Docherty and Gillesphey. If the owners (not the SMT) don't want us to get promoted, or at least chaljenge for it, then fine keep the above players. As for me I'd move all of the above on look to get a better midfield, give Jones and Ramsay some decent partners and get some proper width in the side.
Do we have poor players or is it the style of play that's the biggest problem, or a combination of the two?
How often do we put a passing movement together in the opposition half? Is that idea coached out of them or is it beyond our players to do so?
If we had a solid defence it might work to a degree but at the moment, certainly without Jones, we don't.
A lot of posters state that we need better players but how effective would we be with Herbie Kane and David Kasumu, probably Huddersfield's best players today, if we play the Nathan Jones style?
I thought the second half today was a good battling performance but not one that's going to win us games week after week, especially if we continue to start games so poorly.
So many have already expressed my general feelings. It just feels this club is no longer able to bring any pleasure to our lives. Well that’s how it feels to me.
6 points from our last 9 L1 games. Thank god we nicked the 9 points from those opening 3 games.
6 league games in December and I’m booked for all of them. We’d be a psychologists dream if they wanted a case study in masochism.
We have to stick with Jones because we already know the constant sackings are not helping us. He has done it before so he needs to work it out but can do it again. I think he needs a bit more flair and more goals in the team.
i don’t think anyone can hold the owners responsible for this team. They back Jones and gave him what he wanted. Jones said when he came in fans might get angry if he gets shot of some players but we must judge him on results as his signings will improve the team ! Over a 3rd through the season Nathan and your signings are dogshit ! The performances are dogshit ! The results are dogshit ! The players that left so you could “improve” the squad are playing for teams in the promotion spots whereas we are 4 points from relegation!!! You need to have a word with your signings as they seem to be mugging you off
Don’t make me laugh. It’s all the owners fault. They didn’t back jones for players he wanted he was told that’s how much you have get some players with that. He had no choice but to buy average players with that budget. The better players cost money of which he hasn’t been given. We are 4 points off of relegation and the blame lies yes with the manager but it also lies with the owners who will not spend the money. If people think he’s suddenly going to be given a treasure chest dream on. I don’t think we will go down bur there is no chance of promotion. You want someone to blame look at the top.
I swear if Jones is fired I'm off. I have other things I can be doing.
I'll keep watching regardless of the Manager / Players that appear... I'll support both until they're each gone, and even then I'll keep a curious eye on their careers.
But after so many duds now, we've got to believe its more than just the Manager and if we get rid of Jones its just going to be another re-arranging of the deckchairs.

It's a mixture of both. Jones plays anti-football which can be effective, but we don't have the players to play his style.
You could bring in any manager, and I doubt the results will change much. Once again, we have recruited a lot of bad players. We are so bloody good at it, that it's quite frightening.
We need a complete overhaul, complete identity change, and being blunt, I don't care anymore if Jones isn't part of it. Need to drain the swamp completely. There's too many chancers at this club from the management, to backroom staff, to the players. It's completely unacceptable how average we are at football. Average might even be a bit generous.
We gave it more of a go in the second half but - with the honourable exception of Miles Leaburn - the quality was absolutely dire. The team is devoid of confidence and we simply have far too many bad players and an absence of any real tactical plan.
2 wins in the last 12 league games speaks for itself and, unsurprisingly, we now find ourselves only 4 points outside the relegation zone. The direction of travel is very worrying and we just have to hope that Miles is not going to be out for any significant time.
Disgrace Hylton gets so many minutes. Would love a reporter to ask him to justify that
Go on then who comes on that’s fit ahead of him today
Why did we sign him in the first place? Totally unacceptable that we're paying him a wage
😂 go then. We signed him whilst Leaburn was injured as cover should it be needed. We didn’t bank on GAS, Kanu and chucks getting injured though with the latter I don’t know why.
As easy as that. Wonder why Jones didn't do it, or Appleton or Jackson or any of the other boy wonders.
How on earth can you quote Jackson in that group?
Did he get us promoted?
No, why was he sacked, he was a very new young manager, working on a shoestring, under a very unpredictable owner, I do believe he would have moulded a team to challenge for promotion given time and a reasonable budget.

Speculation. He was the special one who we let go. Funny he isn't ripping up trees at the moment.
However a few fans need the strong reminder that, that particular success was achieved over time at said club - Only a few weeks ago, there was a post vs. Exeter wondering why we couldn't pass the ball as well as they were. Yet they've had the benefit of having Caldwell in charge for a few seasons now.
Having seen us against Cheltenham (under Duff), I'd have expected a lot better from Huddersfield today, in terms of controlling the game... Guess thats an equal sign that he's not been there long enough either.
We're too busy expecting instant success here to build any kind of identity.

15 league games played and I have literally no idea what our tactics/game plan is. The only time this season I can recall us having an obvious game plan was Birmingham at home.
We are regressing, getting worse week on week. Sorry but huff and puff in the 2nd half week after week is not good enough.
I am bored of this team, bored of the manager and am rapidly heading to a point where I have zero interest in watching games.
Whatever people say, Jones has been given a chance to assemble a side, I accept it was so bad last season that we'd never sort in one window, but as a minimum you'd expect to see some progress. At the moment we look awful. Dull, no personality, no game plan and no discernible tactics which are aimed at winning games.
It's rinse and repeat week after week. 10 minutes of bluster, found out by the opposition, on the back foot, defensively a shambles, piss weak in midfield and whoever plays upfront hopelessly isolated and offered no service.
It doesn't feel like we are a couple of players away, it feels like we are 6/7 away and we already have a bloated completely unbalanced squad.
As for today. What can you say? It was shit. All the more frustrating as Huddersfield weren't great. Doherty's was a perhaps harsh red, but it was a stupid, reckless and irresponsible tackle in an area where there was no reason to do it. Amateur hour in the last minute where our supposed level headed,.experienced pro Hylton instead of allowing a final strike on goal takes a quick free kick and passes to the keeper. Inexcusable.
Jones making himself look like an absolute twat after the final whistle as well. Marching round the pitch pointing fingers at players and ranting and raving. It's embarrassing.
I was advocating sticking with a manager long term, but I honestly wouldn't care if they sacked him tomorrow. I don't think he is going to be a success and as for the squad he has assembled, the leas said the better
I don't think this game should be the one that makes us turn against Jones. It hasn't been good enough and the way we started wasn't good enough but there were aspects of the performance that were positive. We had a poor decision and the rub of the green not falling our way to blame but that doesn't excuse the start. I am a bit conflicted but Jones needs to clear his head and work it out.
I do get a sense that it can feel like we try to lose. Of course we don't but we seem to have that element to us and have had it under previous managers.

It's not over as we are now in a relegation dog fight.
We will be if we dont win our next 2 league games against Burton & Crawley.
Imo they are bigger than the games against Birmingham & Wrexham.
1/3rd of the season gone & already promotion is out of the question. The only thing we have left to fight for is to.atay in this division.
In January we somehow have to bring in some width & some creativity in midfield. God knows who will join us if we are struggling in mid table.....maybe some Prem loan players.
This is all on Nathan Jones. It's up to him to sort it out, but to date he's recruitment has been very poor.
