I don't think anyone was trying to be smart Buttle, it was a genuine inquiry because it sounded like you were there and saw something off camera, so were you there and what did you pick upon ?

  • Oh come on, i was proud this morning. Gales and rain pissing down, i put on a coat and headed out!

It certainly seems they were. Leaburn was laughing at full time when being criticised. That's what I'm getting at. He thinks he's the bollocks but is proving to be a shit footballer who doesn't want to play for us.

He does know we watched the same game?
    that’s either Trumpian dishonesty
or Jones is actually a delusional moron in the grip of a major psychotic episode
He’s only fooling the vested interests that convinced the Americans to sign him in the first place
Our only hope is that Fleming isn’t as mad/dishonest as Jones and he gets to coach some of the players some of the time
Supporting Charlton is a nightmare scripted by  Edgar Alan Poe on his worst trip ever

Where you there mate, I didn't see that or hear the criticism, not saying you are wrong at all but shocked if Leaburn is responding like that.

Yes mate I was there and I know what I saw. He thinks he's big time. Blokes not got the ability to behave how he has recently.

Yes mate. We were both there and he laughed at the criticism.  Seems to think he's something special. But believe me. He's not.

I've always found it strange that it is a given that the manager doesn't out a poor performance for fear of upsetting our poor over payed and frankly over hyped players, for fear that they might go and sulk, are these men or boys, if you can't hack it playing the wonderful game, go fill the shelves in Tesco and join the real world...

Definitely looking lately like he thinks he’s better than us, and expects to be away from us come January, must say if he wants away fu*k him, he’s not a patch on his dad
I always thought that the "Leaburn will be the answer up front when he returns" comments were a little bit OTT

He's still very much at the start of his career, he had a decent debut season, but its still a lot to put on his shoulders for us.

There have always been games where Defenders at this level have shown how inexperienced he is.
The lad is young and has potential but he has a lot to prove imo I can’t agree with the people who say he is a future premiership striker, he has shown nothing yet to secure that type of endorsement plus I also think he has to prove he can stay fit, he is a big unit and nobody knows yet if his body can stand the rigours of professional football at any level let alone top flight. I do agree though the last few games he has looked a bit disinterested I think that is probably down to either he doesn’t like the hoof ball tactics or he knows he is off in January

Not normally wise to criticise players in public, but agree with your post.

The commentator described Ahadme as a peripheral player today - seems about right for the season in general imo.
Good job we only spent £1m on him then 🤦‍♂️
So what did wonder boy Leaburn do. Absolutely fuck all.
Don't disagree but that wasn't the point.
  • Only saw the 1st half but compared to the last two matches we accurately passed the ball on the ground and used the width. A better balanced team but Taylor is hit and miss and he may have taken the 2nd worse corner ever. The little winger from Spurs on loan was probably worse !

I expected the 2nd half to be worse in absolutely terrible conditions.

More excuse today for the final ball being bad than normal and Lincoln struggled in those conditions.

If cafc hadn't been so turgid in 90% of matches this season then a point at Lincoln where we hadn't won since 1958 in the League would've been an ok point.

    We need better.
  • We didn't hoof it at least but the quality is so so poor. Mind-numblingly boring to watch.

A really low quality game, not all of which can be explained by the conditions.

I thought we at least tried to pass the ball on occasions, particularly in the first half, rather than just thumping it mindlessly towards Lincoln’s goal. Whether that was because of the wind or an attempt by Nathan Jones to modify his tactics, I guess we’ll find out next Saturday against Mansfield. Unfortunately, like Lincoln, we were unable to make any impact whatsoever in the final third.

The three central defenders were all solid and the return of Lloyd Jones made a difference, both in terms of his aerial ability and his leadership. Tyreece Campbell had a poor game, not helped by the fact that, whatever he is, he is most certainly not a right wing back.

In midfield, Terry Taylor looked tidy and Docherty was industrious and better than usual, especially in the first half. Unfortunately, Anderson struggled to control the ball and find his men.

Up front, neither Ahadme nor Kanu were able to hold the ball up and bring their teammates into play, as a result of which, our attacks continued to flounder. Granted the service was poor but Ahadme’s lack of pace and physicality are real problems. At least Leaburn managed to hold the ball up once or twice.

Neither team did remotely enough to win the game and, overall, it was a decent point away from home, given our poor form this season and the debacle last Tuesday.
A very good summary of the match. I’m intrigued to, to see if we return to hoof ball next time out. I’d have taken a point on balance.
