Is that new Sky Xmas caper film with Lee Mack as much of a Home Alone rip off as the trailer suggests?
Started to watch it last night, manged about 45 minutes before we had to turn it off. Absolute shit.
I saw the 30 second trailer and formed the same opinion.
  • And... NOW it's Christmas

I watched Spartacus yesterday first time I've watched it all the way through.

    No, I watched Spartacus!
  • While I'm devastated that Monsters vs Aliens, just watched on Channel 4, wasn't included in the films of the day, for those four or so of us with access to RTE2 Kubo and the Two Strings is on at 11:50am.

  • excellent choice.
  • Also, for anyone that can watch TG4, Some Like It Hot is on now, happily for those of us with limited language skills not in Irish.

    Wasn't that called Indoor League?
  • Just how good is your recommended film of the day Magnificient Seven @Bedsaddick ?

Will it be more entertaining than going to the valley to watch the free scoring, rip roaring, goal scoring addicks?

With the wonders of modern technology, you can do both. Even at the same time.

You can guarantee there will be more shots in The Magnificent Seven than at The Valley!
  • Really enjoyed The Holdovers but I'd have to go for Carlito's Way from today's picks, great film.
The Holdovers is probably my favourite Christmas film. It covers so many themes around family at Christmas and the acting is brilliant.

I watched the remake of The Magnificent Seven (directed by Antoine Fuqua) just a couple of weeks ago. I'm usually not into Westerns but I quite enjoyed the film, surprisingly.
It’s not a bad film but not a patch on the 1960’s original which is actually based on The Seven Samurai Kurosawa classic .
  • Beetlejuice is on tonight on BBC 3.

Gonna tape the magnificent seven in a bit after enjoying the great classic that is Casablanca.
