I loved it, but sad that it's the last one. I feared that something would happen to make it impossible to have another programme, it didn't, so if they want to do another, they could.
It's good to go out on a high anyway, but I also think with Alison Steadman and Larry Lamb in their late 70s there comes a point when you leave it.
Yeah. Poor old Mick looked like he was struggling a bit.
Such a pivotal character. Great nod to him during the wedding ceremony that never was I thought.
  • First time I've watched an episode from start to finish. Really try to like it and do appreciate it, but just can't get past my disliking of James Corden.

I think Gavin's mum and dad are very funny and the couple who were split up made me laugh n all.

  • Gavin and Stacey was NEVER about Gavin and Stacey. They were just the tools to bring the rest of the cast together.
  • Thought the first half an hour was pretty bad, did get worried it was going to be a letdown.

But from the moment Gavin and Stacey walked in on Pete and Dawn, it was really good.  Superb ending to a fantastic series.

Thought that and Wallace and Gromit were great Christmas TV.

Wallace and Gromit was absolutely superb. A masterclass in how to do a lot with very little.

Another one where I wonder if that's the last we see of Feathers McGraw or if they've kept the card up their sleeve.....
  • I'm glad Dave got a decent ending. Pete and Dawn superb.

  • Was spot on to round off Xmas day.
  • Fancy some corn on the cob now. I wonder if you can get some down at The Valley at today’s game.
  • Also love Wallace and Gromit

  • I watched a bit of the last Christmas special but this was the first one I watched from the start. I recall swerving it originally because I thought the surnames Shipman and West were in poor taste with victims' families still being alive and that was the main reason. Yesterday, I didn't like the bit where Ness ripped off an old couple for £75 but overall I found it ebtertaining enough albeit a bit predictable.

Do yourself a favour and watch the very first Christmas special
In my opinion one of, if not the greatest sitcom episodes of all time.
I reckon it's my most watched TV episode ever.

Better than their last effort but overall very average.  Still I'm sure it was a hell of a lot better than Mrs brown's boys which followed later on.

£75 is a bargain compared to one of them in the big smoke 😁

That was surely a comment on the disgraceful West End charges -,a warning if you will.

Yeah. Me and the missus watched it when got home from my mums.

Thought is was great even though followed pretty much the exact same storyline as we expected beforehand

where did Neil the baby disappear to, for that final group photo? He was with them in the pub but not in the photo
Thought that too but assumed they wanted the main cast together for the final shot (especially as he wasn't the same Neil The Baby from the previous special). Thought it more odd he wasn't on the coach to Southampton with the rest.

Bet people get ripped off more than £75 using those grab machines in the arcade. Jeez.

Think it was the same actor for Neil the Baby.

Tool? Well, Gavin is the only person, fictional or real, that I've ever seen stitch a badge over another team's shirt badge. Seriously, has anyone seen or heard of that being done before?
  • We really enjoyed and ended off a great day.

Thought it was a nice touch tbf, supported his mate and also his club in a funny way!
  • Also Sonia was wrong trying to get Smithy to wear black shoes with a blue suit.

Not the worst thing she did, admittedly, but being snobby whilst in the wrong isn't a good look.

They made Sonia too much of a c***. She had no redeemable qualities whatsoever.

    Like all good television/film baddies.

Agree. I was thinking, even if it was a mates stag do, I couldn't do it but that was a good way round it.  Funny that. I can wear a shirt of a foriegn club but no way could I wear one of an English club other than Charlton. A Millwall or Palace shirt would react with my skin and give me a nasty rash I'm sure.
  • All the top ten watched programmes on Christmas Day were on the BBC apparently

The only point where she was right. It's not being snobby, it's being smart rather than following a bad trend.  ;)
