The World's End was filmed in Welwyn Garden City, just over the road from me when it was supposed to be in Slough. It is a stange watch but if if you don't know the area, less so. A lot of Star Wars was filmed in Tunisia instead of Tatooine!
  • Can someone clarify where planet of the apes was filmed? Were they even real apes?
    Another comedian.
The mods should start a new site.
    "The Charlton Life comedy club".

I would rather attempt humour than be a full grown adult embarrassing himself by having a tantrum over the location that a tv show was filmed.
I don't know you, thankfully, so how do you know I'm a full grown adult?
Mentioning that part of a TV show wasn't filmed where they said it was is hardly a tantrum.
I appreciate that you made an attempt at humour but it is embarrassing to have a little tantrum when someone replies to your post .

    Yawn.

To be honest, I don’t know you are a full grown adult, reading your posts on here, my assumption was wrong and you are more likely to be a teenager waiting for mummy to allow you internet time!

im glad I don’t know you. I bet you’re fun to go to the pub with!!! Most people are talking about dawn and Pete being entertaining. Your contribution was to moan that Southampton wasn’t Southampton. Get a life!!!
  • I would run to mummy but unfortunately she died a few years ago, so thank you for that.

  • Goodness me lads, chill out a bit.
  • All I can think at times like this is RIP the argument alert thread. A much missed public service.

You could have broken it to me gently.

  • Anyone else noted the irony that the main protagonist who’s upset that the Southampton scenes weren’t filmed in Southampton has a user name containing Southampton but admits he’s not actually from Southampton?

Maybe he now lives in Southampton after moving from south east London 🤔

Maybe he should call himself southamptonformallyofsoutheastlondonaddick to prevent any confusion, as location is so important to him.
  • Maybe I should.
    I'll consider it.
  • You 2 need to 'make up, make up, never ever break up'
    Brilliant 🤣🤣🤣🤣👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
  • There's a behind the scenes on today at 7 on BBC1

    Based in Southampton i hope
Based in Southampton but filmed in Newport 😉
  • Behind the Scenes was pretty emotional too.

Added to that, it was lovely to hear I Am Kloot’s ‘No Fear of Falling’ in the closing scenes.

It was very good. It's a pity James Corden is such a bellend in real life, he came across very well on it
  • We only got a third of the way through and switched it off. I'm pleased that so many enjoyed it.

We won't be going back to watch the rest.
  • Individual performances were fine
The story itself was eminently predictable and the resolution rushed to a too tidy end
The viewing experience not helped at all by Newport docks being billed as Southampton - Nessa could have been heading back to sea from any of UK's working harbours, sticking with one of England's largest and busiest ports when they had no budget to speak of was daft.
But that's all about personal taste:
The one worthwhile barometer of the production as a whole is the sheer number of original cast members who made themselves available, they even tracked down blokes who were briefly in season 1 as Smithy's mates, a couple of whom hadn't acted in anything since.  Just about everybody who could have been in it agreed to appear.
Also pleasing that they didn't allow themselves to get bogged down and distracted by celeb cameos and tons of wannabe arse licking makeweights woulda given their right arm to be associated.
Much has been made of it being the biggest tv audience on Christmas Day - 12.5M was it?  So just half of what The Two Ronnies or Morecambe and Wise achieved when Pam and Mick were first together :)

     You're taking the piss...right?

    The first third wasn't great.
    The rest was.
    I'd recommend watch the rest.
  • All so telegraphed and flat, perfect BBC content.

Bryn and Dave Coaches are genuine content.

Just watched it, very good sign off and seeing how much the show understandably meant to them all.
  • Watch the behind the scenes programme…watch til the very end!
