No blame at all for the 'silly dismissals' from those batting 6 or 7 down.
It's the clowns in front of them that need to have a good look at themselves.3 -
Some people are a lot more vocal when things aren’t going well, I wonder why.
Early wickets, cmon England.0 -
Imagine predicting they would only use 2 opening partnerships in the series. And they use that in the first test without actually pairing their 2 on paper openers!Addick Addict said:Head opening!!!1 -
Hoping khawaja is fit for the next match and this means they have an excuse for their poor batting so they keep it the same.cantersaddick said:

Boooooo........
No wicket in the first over. Only innings where a wicket hasn't fallen.0 -
Weatherald looks scared of Jofra.0
-
He's just taken one on the forearm and didn't even flinch. "Don't show it son!"Laddick01 said:Weatherald looks scared of Jofra.0 -
The really frustrating thing is that, because we only have 204 to defend, we are having to go "half-cock" with our field in only having two slips for the likes of Atkinson. You can't help thinking that one is going to go through third slip.0
-
Aussie edge goes down to the third man boundary for four runs. We know how this fourth innings will go.0
-
Yes Jof come on!
I was literally typing "Were losing this aren't we".0 -

Reviewed it. Maybe we still are.cantersaddick said:Yes Jof come on!

Celebrated a 3 and then edges through covers.
Survives a review. Jammy bugger.

The Aussies looking worryingly comfortable out there0
-
The pitch doesn't seem to be offering the same sort of consistent, early threat that we saw in the first three innings. We need to keep switching the bowling and if necessary Golden Arm to bring himself on. We cannot let them settle.0
-
Aside from the review there’s hardly been one bit of trouble for the Aussies so far.Be surprised if we can do it from here.1
-
Yeah looks to have flattened out. No real movement off the pitch and the extra bounce we've seen all game seems to have gone awayAddick Addict said:The pitch doesn't seem to be offering the same sort of consistent, early threat that we saw in the first three innings. Not looking good now. Match was there for the taking but we’ve found a way to screw it up.0
-
Wakes up. Reads thread. Going back to sleep
england are pathetic.0 -
Heads probably put on more opening than Zak will score all series.1
-
Painful at the moment unfortunately0

Head averages 48.14 opening the batting for Australia. Given their crisis up top one suspects that he's going to get that gig soon enough unless someone else suddenly proves themselves. The question for us is - who replaces Crawley? He'll get one more Test but if fails yet again then we have to throw someone in there.0
-
BBC helpfully pointed out that these are the first runs by an opening partnership in the match.
If the Aussies bat properly, they surely win from here. But remember we thought that at the start of their first innings and it turned out not to be so simple. So it may still be that those extra 50 runs at the end turn out useful.0 -
Can’t see Crawley being replaced even if he does poorly. They’ve gone ‘All In’ on him and yet again he’s failed to deliver.Addick Addict said:Head averages 48.14 opening the batting for Australia. We needed to get a 275 lead really. Think Oz will do this reasonably comfortably0

It'll be Ben McKinney. Another tall right hander.Addick Addict said:Head averages 48.14 opening the batting for Australia. As much as I love Tom Haines he's not in form and he's not the right type of player for this management0 -
The Atkinson/Carse partnership proving that if we play the way we have played then we are simply not giving ourselves the chance to win the game. We have to learn to occupy the crease and earn the right to attack once things become easier.Addick Addict said:This is one of those situations where you want us to get runs but, by the same perspective, you don't want it to look as if it's suddenly become easier to bat on.3 -
Didn’t watch our innings but the pitch seems to have nothing in it.This is over.0
-
Travis Head becoming this world class player is absolutely bizarre to me when he had one of the worst overseas stints I think I've ever seen for Sussex in 2021. Think he got one 50 all season.1
-
So far, reminiscent of the first Test eight years ago when we set them about 200 to win and they knocked them off for no loss.0
-
Very flat out there. Both the pitch and the England bowling. Speeds down, no bounce or movement.
Australia scoring quickly, without risk either.1
