Tongue has the ball talking this morning. Can unfortunately see us all out for 200-250 and Australia knock off a sub 100 target before the end of the day.

Tongue didn't open the bowling this morning,  as Stokes opened with himself and Carse.

    A questionable decision again

I'm not sure if seeing a ball that is more than 50 overs old jagging back like that off the surface is good news for us.

Carse is last man standing of the 5 bowlers we started with in Perth.

Good to see Tongue get a couple of wickets in this session.

Wood was the ridiculous selection as he was injured straight away and played 1 test !
Archer managed 3 tests and overall bowled well and was quite economical.
Stokes somehow lasted until the 5th test but now looks like he has a groin strain.
Atkinson has had some good sessions before getting injured but I agree with Broad he needs to find an edge to his personality as well as the edge of the bat.

Carse has a big Heart and has taken plenty of wickets but the ball goes everywhere and must be hard to keep wicket too.
Tongue has just played the two tests but did well in the victory and good to see him fit and taking wickets.
Potts waited and waited for a Ashes test and it has been a mare unfortunately.

Can England bat for 5 1/2 sessions and get a Draw; it's hardly likely with the mentality of this group down under.

All out as Boland go for a duck to Jacks.

England 🗣️ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY three behind.

Still feeling positive for the last 2 days. Get them all out before lunch,  trailing by no more than 180, then foot down for the next 3 sessions to get a lead ourselves of 150+. Then its down to the spin twins of Jacks & Bethel to skittle them out before the end of day 5.

    Believe.....
    Ok......183. But it still stands.

    We've got this. C'mon  !!

Exactly what I was thinking. Bowling at the stumps and the ball was moving both ways. Can’t see a world where Starc and Boland fail to extract the same movement.

Missed the first ball, saw the score was 0-1, panicked, remembered the Aussies do it wrong, breathed a sigh of relief

    What was Crawley thinking?
    Looks dead to me.

    Can I revise my thinking.......

    All out just after tea.

So much better that that. 4-1 as Crawley shoulders arms to one that comes back from Starc.

The cheating Aussies swapped the pitch when nobody was looking,  as this one is delivering the occasional unplayable ball.

Umpire’s call, clipping the bail. He never looked comfortable against Boland.

    117-3

    Root 6 (37) lbw b Boland

Might just be the opening the Aussies need. One thing for certain, Brook wont have 6 off 37 deliveries.

Looking good at the moment......so why do I think that at any moment it's going to go pear shaped and we'll go from 174/3 to 190/6.
