Stokes struggling with his shoulder now. Bowling on through but it is a worry for sure
Takes wickets with half a shoulder, what a man

And doing an important job here not just taking wickets and looking threatening but also keeping the other 3 quicks fresh for when the new ball arrives.

Looks really tough out there now. A nonsense that the next Test starts on Thursday,  the players deserve a proper rest before the 5th Test.

Yep, plus 9 days between tests 3 and 4 and that's not even considered back to back. It damages the quality, Bumrah won't play and I don't see much point Stokes playing if England win today. Plus add Siraj and maybe Archer to the rest room.

As long as KP Crisps get to play Tyrrell's crisps on 5th August though.

This is heading for a draw. Sadly.

With the way Gill has gone to date, he could end up beating Bradman's record of 974 in a series.

Tough chance. Sometimes they stick, sometimes they dont. Might be the game though because with him gone I think we'd have won it by tea.

Now I think it will be a draw. India will get a lead and we wont have enough time to chase it down.

They only scored 49 runs in the session at less than 2 runs an over and are still 88 behind. Yes they might put the foot down but not without potentially losing wickets more quickly. They are going to have to bat for most of the day to be certain of a draw.

Still a long way to go. If we can get 2 more wickets quickly after lunch then we're into the tail plus Pant is clearly going to struggle. New ball is still only 9 overs old as well.

Yep, the moment Stoke and Pope pulled up with cramp and now injuries has stopped us winning this. I felt we needed about a 400 to 450 lead. Stokes now injured has rule out a win.

Hard to believe  that they were 0-2

We need to get 2 lucky wickets to  have a chance. like a played on or a silly run out.

Reaching a lead of 450 would have meant England having even fewer overs in which to take ten wickets. Why would they have taken wickets at a considerably faster rate with a bigger lead?

I like the ambition of aiming for a lead of 450. But, seeing as England have only done this twice in more than 1,000 Tests, it's a bit of a stretch.

This has to be one of the biggest anti-climaxes to a test ever.

To go from having them at 0/2 just before lunch on day 4 and staring a series defeat in the face to being 314/4 on the afternoon of day 5 is pretty wild.

How I wished we had a young good set of bowlers.

We got well over 600, this was never going to be a 250 all out pitch unless India batted badly.

Grinding out a draw is exactly what England didn't do well enough in the second test.

At last we have got rid of Bashir for a proper day 5 spinner to guide us to victory

Dawson looks completely unthreatening. I think Bashir would have bowled better on this pitch.

Yeah. Holds an end up but not a lot else.

Stokes now seeing why he didn't play for eight years!

Dawson hardly even turning it, can see now why he's barely had any test call ups

    Let's be honest here.
England do not have a single spin bowler that is remotely good enough for  Test  cricket.
There are of course many reasons for this but unfortunately it's where we are

Dawson has never been a big turner of the ball , he holds up an end in red ball and is a very handy white ball spinner.

Blackpool is right , we just don't produce test quality spinners and end up cycling through various bits and pieces options.

I guess that’s why they’ve got behind Bashir, try to develop one from near the beginning of their career. He just hasn’t developed well enough
