It’s about the balls he’s good at facing and exactly why he won’t be dropped before the ashes
Good job Crawley's not going to be facing Matt Henry any time soon as he has got him out 8 times for 29 runs at an average of 3.60. He also averages 15.70 against Scott Bolland, 23.00 against Nathan Lyon and an overall average of 27.60 in Australia. He won't be dropped now even though, despite this very good innings, he is barely averaging 30 in this Series and 10 other batters have fared better.
It's the same old story with Crawley. Bowl him half volleys so he can drive relentlessly or too straight so he can work the ball off his hips and he's devastating. If the ball is doing anything and the bowlers bowl to plans then his technique will simply break down. Why else has he scored just one ton in the last two years and that one against the team that lies 12/12 in Test cricket rankings, Zimbabwe? Let's hope the Aussies produce decks to suit him and not their bowlers. I have my doubts in that respect.
Hate to say it but I can't see Crawley lasting for long.
My phone was hacked earlier. I did not post this 😁
...says blackpool72, as he mops his bloody nose following a visit from his old pal, Crawley Snr.
Lol Terry is about 5'9" A fighter he ain't. No idea how Zak grew into such a tall lad because height does not run In the family.
I heard that traders were scared enough of him in the LIFFE pit. My first wife was a pit inspector as were a couple of other lads that played football for the team I managed at the time. Mind you, my wife only had to look at someone that she thought wasn't doing what perhaps they shouldn't to frighten them so it would probably have been a decent encounter to witness. I really do miss that look!!!

To be honest in that environment he was pretty much the main man, I doubt anyone wanted to cross him in that place.

Now chasing down Ponting, needs 120 if he's to do it this innings.
341-3
His brother though has just got yet another century.
