I like both Galbraith and DKD , but am slightly more cautious on these threads now.
I remember both Scott Fraser and Marcus Maddison being heavily touted on here because they had played well against us only to prove slightly disappointing when they signed.
I also hope we can sign some experienced Championship players.and would prefer any big fees to go for proven players at the level

Yeah I like both of them as players but the fees have got to be sensible. I wouldn't want to blow a big chunk of the budget on DKD.
I'd be looking for a couple of experienced free agents and the best of what the relegated sides have to offer.
Still have a feeling a big fee on a player from Europe might not be out of the question.
Surely every post is a subjective choice of words, and every post from everybody is saying ‘look at me’. That’s how these things work, similar to graffiti.
Don't want to labour this as I'm aware it's side tracking the thread, but to be clear, my point is that the assessment of the post as being worthy of a promote is subjective. If I can't give you a promote when I think you deserve one, that means my opinion on whether it is or not is irrelevant. However, some other self appointed judge with powers on here can decide that. Why? We're not all being treated as equals. Why have an option to rate someone's post that isn't available to all?
Because they literally run the forum for our benefit, at not a small financial cost, let them have a bit of fun.

But the fact that some people are spending money on the forum to administer it was a surprise to me.
I’m very happy to make a financial contribution to its upkeep and I’m sure other would be too.

Davis Keillor-Dunn Would be at the top of my realistic wish list, not sure if we’ll get him but would show a real signal of intent.
Not sure I’d say a player who would set us back minimum 2.5M pounds would be classed as realistic.
Well we’ve been linked with him and if we wanna have a realistic chance of staying up we need to invest so I don’t think think it’s unrealistic to spend a few million this summer.
Pretty clear from the interview this morning that the players who have agreed to sign are on holiday and nothing will be concluded for a week or two .. plus like Carey who name was never mentioned on any social media site .. expect the players have not been mentioned anywhere .. it’s the way the club does its business .. so let’s just wait ….

Yep, I was wrong, the feeding frenzy that accompanies Ronnie's posts never actually happens. Seriously though, disagreeing with someone's opinion is probably the bread and butter of any forum but I think people should probably back up their dislike by a counter argument, not the ridiculous 'ooo look Ronnie has been lolled I had better join in' nonsense. I did ask once, why Ronnie gets so much stick ? the reply I got was 'because he makes out he's in the know'. So my next question would be, why does this alleged 'being in the know' mean so much to some people? I actually think that Nathan Jones has ordered a blanket order of silence over transfer dealings and if that is the case then all you 'in the knows' will know no more than Ronnie, give yourselves a little lol 😉
This really isn’t meant to be a negative of even cynical comment. We are hearing that the club is showing interest in both DKD and Galbraith both of whom will cost a few million pounds each at least. Very encouraging and exciting but I’d be disappointed if we hadn’t shown an interest as long as that interest is based in reality with knowledge and the wherewithal to actually do a deal. Showing an interest purely in the hope that your lowish bid might work but without the intention of paying what will be the eventual fee. We’ll find out soon enough.
I don’t think we’ll get either, will be a lot of gnashing of teeth on here, when that happens, but still not stressed, how can you be after what happened last season?

As many people have said being linked and actually getting a player are two completely different things any paper can say we’re linked with a player whether that’s DKD or Mbappe. We definitely need to invest but we have 6-7 signings to make can’t go and spend the majority of the budget on one player we need to be smart with our transfers. In terms of wages and standard of player not unrealistic at all in terms of what it’s going to cost us to get him no chance

Would see Olaofe as a good Aneke, off the bench type Striker... Wouldn't to rely on him too much though, but he equally was one of the few who seemed to give Ramsay a headache at times
