Stood up to their bully boy tactics. Awful refereeing.

We needed a spark somewhere. TC needs to stop cutting back.
Drop TC to the bench & use him as an impact sub with 20 to go.

Play Dixon instead. Give them something different & unknown to beat up and intimidate.
    corrected for you.

Might have been covered in the pre or match thread. But how they hell do they not sell out that small stadium? How many fans do they actually have? Would be great to play against the bigger boys in the Championship next season.

I got neck ache watching that on the TV and ear ache listening to the commentary.
Most important thing is not to lose the tie on the first game.

Did anyone else who watched it on sky wonder why they asked Lee Bowyer along.

Who else thought Grimmer was MOTM?
To be fair, he absolutely owned TC tonight. I really hope TC digs deep and finds a better level in the home leg. He seems to be lacking confidence, lost half a yard of pace, can'r recall one instance of taking Grimmer or other defenders on on the outside, always cutting inside with a poor final ball. When he's good he's very good, but when he's off form he's really bad.

Whatever league we're in next season, we need a better midfield.
Coventry is the only one there capable of stepping up a level.

Docherty was really really poor tonight - looked almost scared to play forward.
There wasn't much of an outlet or options going forward.
The Wycombe press and doubling up on TC made it very difficult.

Look how things changed once Anderson and especially Small came on.
We were able to attack from both wings.

Our main tactic seemed to be, hoofing the ball up in the air and then trying to win the second ball, which is basically their main game. Why didn't we pass the ball around on the floor? Berry was pretty anonymous again and the Doc was shite. Our fans were great. Hats off!

We do to them on Thursday what Wrexham did to us. Steamroller - it’s our occasion and they are the bit part.

Kone should have been sent off. Disgraceful challenge and he knew it.

Always hated Wycombe and the manager is massive twat.

Which was our tactic for the 1st half of the season & only changed when Small was deployed as a right winger. As Small didn't start we reverted to type. As our recent run has shown....if we play our best 11 we are pretty decent & can beat anyone. Miss 1 or 2 players (perm any of Jones, Small, TC, Berry or Edwards) and we are pretty poor. Hoof ball doesn't win you many games.

Kone pushed his luck with the horror tackle on Ramsay and later with an elbow in the face of Gillisphey.  If not a straight red for the first, surely two yellows?

What a dreadful game especially as you consider the entertainment on the other tie.

But the job was to still be in the tie come Thursday so job done.
Have seen that they have a decent away record in the past two months, BUT, they'll not be happy with today's result.

Wycombe are a genuine ming of a club.. No alcohol in the stadium, massive queues to get any in the fan bar outside.  Music blasted at the away fans at ridiculous levels and a bunch of prick, cheating, diving, 'orrible long ball merchant players.

I hope we stuff then beyond all recognition on Thursday.

Took 30 mins after the game to get out of the road we parked on 2 miles from the ground to avoid traffic, as the road was blocked and 12 armed police plus a dog went into a house.

    Total shit hole.

Still had a great time as crowd were excellent and our players stood up well.

Are they heading in to steal the refs whistle?

We didn’t lose the game which is the main thing, and the lads all battled very hard in a game which was always going to be difficult. However, that could be one of the worst games of football I’ve ever seen (from both teams). The amount of times the ball was in the air, or kicked out of play was comical. I was not impressed by us at all, but getting through is all that matters, and The Valley Thursday will be bouncing.

How on earth someone has given Docherty a 9 on the player marks thread is diabolical. He did ok last 30 minutes but was awful before that
Weakest player on the starting eleven by a mile.
