It's already been stated by some that the signing of Euell was an old mates act.

I know, some people love to find something to try and undermine things....... it gives them something to do in life.  ;o)

Euell is still a quality a player at this level. Though he still needed to convince his mate he was worth a contract.

i think he will score one or two but then fall away

Exactly. If it was an old mates act, it would have been done and dusted before they even went to spain. He had to prove his worth to the gaffer, same as any other trialist.

    5 goals in 6 games.

    Lisbie>Hayes

edit: 3 in 5 games, still better then 3 in 11 games

    Assists don't count for strikers?

oh of course they do but we have midfielders to do that, we need two threats upfront not just one and a sub.

Best partnerships up front usually have a goalscorer alongside a more creative player. BWP and Kermorgant didn't link up well today, would say BWP is even more of a threat when playing alongside Hayes.

Probably win 2-1 with Hayes scoring.  Like we did against Bury away.

    Owned? Not at all mate.

BWP's goals might of kept us up but without his goals we won't go up, quite frankly apart from BWP all our strikers are two bob.

Hopefully we'll grab Messi in the January transfer window.

thought we missed Hayes today, ball wasn't sticking as much, brings more to the team than just goals. Not slagging Kermy as it was his first game with BWP and partnerships take time but saying that Hayes and BWP compliment each other well.

    LOL

It's sometimes said in industry that apprentices should move on once they have learnt their craft because they will never be completely accepted as equals by older work colleagues.

There is an element about this with Kevin who apart from a handfull of appearances at the start of his career he was a Premiership player for us and had injury problems which meant he never quite cut it at that level.

If he had come at a different time in our history at CCC or L1 , I think he would have been more fondly remembered . Even so he will always be able to point to the Liverpool game as his career highlight.

Christ - are people STILL banging on about Lisbie? He was two f***ing bob for the approximately 35 years he played for us. Anyone who seriously thinks we'd be better off with him and Wright Phillips up front together instead of Hayes/Kermit knows as much about football as Tara Palmer Tompkinson.

First time I've ever been corrected for spelling and not given a shit about it! :o)
  • Lisbie is the only player I've seen who, even when scoring, always made the wrong decision.
