Blue Mink, Banner Man
Both sound similar to each other with an oompah type bass, though Blue Mink had a female vocalist so not quite like Mungo Jerry.

Is it a single man, or are there backing vocals? Are there guitars? Apart from this bleedin ships horn are there any other instruments? All you've mentioned is a bassline. What sort of tempo is it - fast, slow, a bit of both? Oakster You Tube it. get some grease proof paper and a comb to help you hum it then put a large carrier bag over your head to help get the base affect (careful with the bag).
This will help us nail it as Rob is just a poor exiled Brit terminator in deapest France and cant afford to eat his van.0 -
