How do other clubs perceive Charlton Athletic ?

When did Woolwich/Greenwich become part of London?0

And of course Millwall isn't even in South London. Team moved here in 1910 which makes us the only and first Club of the three to play in Sth London since its foundation (yes I know Upton Park)0

Let's not get into a competition of who millwall hate most because frankly I couldn't care less. And anyway I know it will be palace (after west ham obviously). Just ask that millwall guy who posts on here.I_Saw_Semedo_Score said:
Yeah Maestro was right. It really IS the SL Derby. I mean Palace sold out and everything... And there was only 6,000 less fans in the ground than when we played there!

Quite agree. Never really seems to get mentioned that much the fact that millwall are in fact an east london club.surprised how welcome a club from the isle of dogs was welcomed into south east london.Henry Irving said:And of course Millwall isn't even in South London. You've done it again. Calling us a small club when you support the freaks is like a murderer calling a thief "a c**t". Which is, what you are.maestro said:

Off to London bridge now before THE south London derby. I expect you'll all be cheering us on as we stick a nail in millwalls coffin.
3 cheers for palace.... All together now!
Even wikipedia doesn't believe you
We refer to our rivalry with millwall as a south London derby. It's all or nothing. Only a small time club like charlton refers to a derby as the south east London derby.
Palace are such a big and highly-rated club that their hero Douglas left for... erm Bolton. It was Bolton wasn't it? Oh okay. At least they've got four decent stands...
Also noticed how you only replied to a select comment. Because the rest is true.0 -
I don't care about what you think of us (though it must be something, to always be on here). I "hate" Palace regardless, because they're an embarrassing football club. Don't get me wrong, I haven't got any time for Millwall but at least I can see what they stand for. What do Palace stand for? It changes every week. I love the dig at us at the end,as if we care they don't hate us!0

at the end the kid should of asked.... "oh right... wait. was that it?! some manager who then became our manager got the hump and made a snide comment about us? and to this day we have a problem with them over this?! yet we tried to destroy Charlton’s very own existence and we don't understand why they have a problem with us?! guess that makes sense..."0

Good to see that on a day of such a BIG SL derby with 2 GREAT SL clubs, you're on Charlton's forum. Subliminal compliment? We don't need it. We already know.

What I've always wondered is why Palace don't just hate Alan Mullery?
As the story apparently goes, two clubs trying to push out of the third tier together and making up some sort of rivalry out of it. I wonder if we'll be fierce rivals with Sheffield Wednesday in 40 years time...........0 -

And this is why no one treats you seriously giving it the whole "I see what they stand for", "I respect them" blah, blah, blah. Excuse me whilst I'm physically sick.
We have no respect for each other, and that's how our rivalry works. Reading some of the past comments on here it sounds like half of you want to BE Millwall or at least their best mates. Be yourself, even if it isnt much, it's better than pretending to be something you're not. People might start to accept you then.

What cafctom said, in a roundabout way (...and because I don't know how to quote on here!)...
Palace, as a set of fans and a club, are a complete rabble of divs. Ultras, banners (...who can forget the "highly provacative" banner?), Glad All Over, South London is ours? Everything about palace smacks of "Look here I am. Look! LOOOOK!!!". A complete whelk of a football club.
Charlton I don't actually have a problem with. Plenty of Charlton mates, and a few wallys. For us, the game vs Charlton is more of a derby than what i'd call a rivalry. A wind-up with the mates you speak to everyday, and no doubt the reason more turn out for the games vs Charlton than vs palace. I know plenty of Charlton and Millwall who don't usually go but came out for them games. Of course, I want to beat both. But would I swap beating Charlton for beating palace? Absolutely. F**king cretins!
The reason for the lack of numbers for Millwall v palace the other night was because the OB made it all ticket after the Wembley scuffle. Therefore a lot of support who turn up on the day and get their ticket didn't get the chance to. I know there's the argument of 'well why didn't they get it in advance', which is fair enough....but that's their choice. I only got one because I knew i'd be away from work early enough to get there. There's probably a few that couldn't commit, but because of the restriction they couldn't make a last-minute decision.
Anyway, what was the point again? Sorry. Oh yeah. palace. W*nky club!

Ultras (Italian), goal-announcing chant (German), cheerleaders (American). You are a joke, and the only thing funnier than that actuality, is that you dopey bastards can't see it haha.
