Must be getting some midfielders in then? Cook, Pritchard and possibly Stephens going would leave a big gap.
I'm sure a couple will sign, unless they plan to give Poyet more games0 -
Thanks to @vincenzo on the Powell thread:
This is what he's thinking:
Charlton Athletic FC @CAFCofficial
CP: Reza Ghoochannejhad is signed and completed. We hope to add to that in the next couple of days #cafc
CP: He's scored goals at different levels in Belgium and Holland and he's signed permanently #cafc
CP: We've made phone calls for players so we're hoping there'll be more movement. But these things take time #cafc
CP: There were a number of issues at Doncaster. It wasn't right from start to finish but we wipe it from the memory
CP: Solly has had a setback. He's desperate to play but we don't want to rush him
CP: There's no rush to have him back. Whatever it takes to get him fit and healthy, that's all we want for him
CP: Joe Pigott may be leaving on loan to League One. Waiting to cross the T's and dot the I's #cafc

I take it that if Wiggins goes to Reading then Ceddy Evina will get his long awaited chance at left-back?0

Understand #cafc sale price to be £12m plus £4m if we stay up and £2m if promoted to FAPL in five years. But relegation would cost over £4m.Henry Irving said:

Who is Richard Crawley and where is he getting his information from?0

Apparently he's played really well for the Iranian national team, with whom he is going to Brazil with! 6 goals in 6 consecutive matchesThe Red Robin said:Here is what @svenclaes has to say on Ghoochannejhad "He hasn't played for several months, so #CAFC have to give him time." Oh Kenny....
Wolves boss Kenny Jackett has expressed his delight at having been able to return Leon Clarke to the club from Coventry.0 - Sponsored links:

I like to hear that, CP looks like our manager for at least the remainder of the season0 -
I'm still not convinced Dale will actually go to Brighton.0

Only Gucci has definitely signed so far. What about the right back?Lazy_eye_metaphor said:This must be the craziest day of transfer activity in club history. lets just sum up the moves and potential moves:

Well said Sir. Spot on.Rob62 said:"We've got our Charlton back"
This seems a long time ago now.
Powell was let down by the old owners, and continues to be let down now. The same for us fans.
I can see no positives in the way we are going. The dressing room will be totally gone now. Our best players are being sold (the fault with this lies mostly at the old owners door) and a load of players that the manager has no knowledge of are being shipped in. What chance does Powell have? If he doesn't play these players he'll be shipped out, if he does what will the players he brought in think?
I don't want to see Charlton becoming a standing place for a group of randomly collected players with no affection for the team that ultimately will benefit another club. We are losing our identity. It sounds dramatic but it's the truth. What good can come of this?0 - Sponsored links:

Sheesh we need another thread called 'Confirmed', because this is doing my brain in trying to keep up.2

Sky Sports sources understand that Sunderland have reached an agreement with Brighton for midfielder Liam Bridcutt. It is believed that a £2.5million deal is in place and that Bridcutt will undergo a medical on Thursday afternoon.0
-
Wouldn't get too excited. Karim Bagheri score 50 goals in 87 appearances for Iran, bit easier banging them in against Lebanon, Oman and Singapore than it is against Championship sides.sasquatch said:

I love Chris Powell!6 -
Just seen on SkySports that Liam Bridcutt is heading to Sunderland for £2.5m...covered end junior said:I'm still not convinced Dale will actually go to Brighton.
I agreed with you when I saw your post but now I think he will go as thats why they've accepted the Sunderland bid0 -
Well if they are offering more money and/or a longer contract then I suspect he will go. Let's face it there hasn't been even a sniff from a Premier League side since Villa asked if they could have him for, virtually, nothing.covered end junior said:I'm still not convinced Dale will actually go to Brighton.
I don't have a problem with it as it's their job, but we run the risk of looking deluded if we believe that any of these players are motivated by anything other than money!0 -
If you were Dale would you not just wait until the end of the season when you free to speak to any club? He's been wanting to move up North, if that's what he still want's it would make sense to wait.0

Who is or was Cook?0
