Our best player so far this season, gutted to see him go.
Good luck Dale.2 -
I'd say that too, therefore we do need another CM otherwise it's a bit worrying.C_A_F_C said:Our best player so far this season.

Agree with that. He was my player of the season. Had he moved up north though he would have a lot more respect from us fans.C_A_F_C said:Our best player so far this season, gutted to see him go.

thing is we have known all this season so far he would go in jan, powelly knew it more importantly lets wait for the next midfielder to come in and he will be better than dale and young dale will be a fond memory0

Now we need creative CM, to unlock packed defences and make that killer pass.
And a pacy winger who can actually cross the ball.

Doesn't look like we had too much choice with Stephens going to be fair. He clearly wanted out.
Like many I was feeling inclined to vent my spleen yesterday thinking we were needlessly losing our best players. But I thought I'd hold fire and wait to see what's really going on - we still don't know the full picture but it certainly looks like the aim is very much to strengthen the side - so I hope the RD lynch mob has stood down for a bit! Should be another very interesting day tomorrow. Really hope we can keep Yann and add some more quality to the squad.5 -
Genoa have announced that midfielder Daniel Tozser has joined Watford on loan until the end of the season.
I wonder how many Hornets fans will be getting his name on their replica shirts?4 -
Should be obligatory for every Watford fan.Absurdistan said:Genoa have announced that midfielder Daniel Tozser has joined Watford on loan until the end of the season.

I'm sad to see Dale go, as he has been very good this season. Unfortunately my abiding memory of him will not be any of the wonder goals he scored, but that game against Forest at home last year where he couldn't pass it to any of our players.lancashire lad said:Dale had his moments but he was also very good at passing to the opposition.
good luck lad

Have not seen many games in the last couple of years for one reason or another but did go to the Jills friendly pre-season before last and I don't think he successfully passed to a player on his own team all match. That bad he stood out.
Reckon he'll kick on with BHA though once they de-charltonise him. Good luck Dale0 -
Can we really talk ourselves with a player like Anil Koc on our books lol!? - Just glad the two dont play together ;-)soapy_jones said:

Disappointed to see dale go. He has had a decent season and ill miss his thunderbolt efforts. Not nice seeing that picture of him but imagine what it would be like seeing yann holding a Bournemouth shirt up.0

"Tozser pats Koc on the head because he scores!"0

Heard that Yann is going despite being at training today.
Also that Powell was almost sacked today, or was going to be sacked tomorrow but he might now be ok, make of that what you will.3 -
I have just watched the excellent press conference with Chris Powell on player. Made me feel a whole lot more hopeful regarding the future than I had been. Chris is composed, realistic, did not duck any questions, and whatever anybody may say about his approach to the football, he is a very very impressive man.
My take is that Chris and Roland have been able to understand each other, and Chris intends to make things a success.
We have said that Chris has not had the resources from the previous regime, but he is getting them now. It may be that the players are not ones he knows as well as some others that we have scouted, but there is always a risk signing any player known or unknown.
The big benefit for Chris is that people can't accuse him of blowing big transfer fees that have not come off. The financial aspect of the transfer malarkey at Charlton is down the agenda, it is as if Roland is saying, 'you're a coach, here are football players, over to you'.1 -

That may be true, but we are very light now in midfield. We need at least two creative midfield players to service all these forwards we are accumulating.seth plum said:I have just watched the excellent press conference with Chris Powell on player. Perhaps one or more of the 4 new faces reported at sparrows lane today, minus Reza, were CM's.altrinchamaddick said:

Maybe Draxler was there, that would be nice.0 -
Yeah me to, thought he looked happier than for a while and thought he conducted himself very well, especially when asked about his own future. He seems to know about Rezza and The polish lad, interested in Simeon Jackson and that Cedric lad.seth plum said:I have just watched the excellent press conference with Chris Powell on player. Top of the head we have Jacko, Cousins, Astrid, Green, Pritch, Harriott...errrm, there are some more who can play there, I tend to agree we could do with a latter day Kinsella and Jensen.altrinchamaddick said:

Can't mate, away for the weekend on the 15th, say hello to Vale for me, my 50th in a few months, I will be getting some grey hair soon. I am in procurement not FM, I try and keep FM screwed down to tight contracts, but that is never easy.Goonerhater said:MR D you still in the FM game ?

CP seems to think at least 2/3 of those you mention are not up to it so I tend to agree that 2 creative midfielders are a must.
