    it's all a load of old baloney and an excuse to make money. we've never done Valentine's Day but as a treat I'm letting the missus get up at six tomorrow morning to send me on my merry way to Hillsborough with a couple of bacon sarnies inside me. i'm good like that.

    Its a lot of old rubbish but something I have to do or I would hear the end of it....

    Her 24 red roses showed up at her office by 9 (£16 quid including the card - bargan)

    bought her not 1 but 2 £10 scratch cards - the gift that keeps giving... unless you dont win

    and treating her to a papa johns pizza with a nice bottle of champainge (which I got given from a client for xmas)

    This is gone sound a bit poncy but there is a point to it. I have been with my wife for 11 years and married for 6. We are generally very close, spend lots of quality time together (and with the kids of course) and go out for meals and nights out all year. Why make a special effort when all the restaurants are serving a smaller menu that is more expensive. And here is the poncy bit - I love her 365 days a year and not just on a random day in the middle of feb......
