If I was to start paying into Valley Gold would it give me any priority even without too many away games / ST etc (out of interest)

    yes, valley gold is tomorrow

If we have sold that many in just 2 hours then I think we have a real chance of smashing the 5k allocation come next weekend.
  • There is always an initial surge though.
  • yep will die down a bit although i do think we will sell out with general sale.

You only get priority after 6 months subs have been paid. You can't join and immediately get tickets (unless you pay 6 months dosh up front)

That's not true, £30 needs to be paid off... Unless they have changed it and not updated the website
  • Bloody hell. We've already sold that many and it hasn't even been available to the majority who will be buying yet (ie season ticket holders)!

I could be wrong, but from memory, when I joined I thought I was told £60. Anyway the point I was trying to make was that you don't get priority just for joining for a month
  • Selling like hot cakes, 1.1k sold by 2.30PM on the first day...

Already booked the hotel and sorted the travel up there on the Saturday.

If they don't go on general sale I'm f@cked

In the same boat sorted transport arrangements out and everything fingers crossed it dies down over the next few hours then over the weekend

yet less then 400 of us at Huddersfield for the 4th round...Just hope this 4 tickets per person decision doesn't lead to people missing out

  • Always going to be an early rush. 4000 or so, available tomorrow i reckon

Think it's ok to assume that there will be just as many sold tomorrow as there are today. That'll still mean that over 1000 tickets will reach general sale?

And, in a way, so was I ;-) VG priority is supposed to reward a (long) time commitment not be a last minute back door into popular games

Has sending off for a refund for the re-arranged Sheffield Weds match scuppered my chances of being able to get a ticket tomorrow? :-/

Surely there will be a lot more sold tomorrow than today, as tomorrow is when the majority of those wanting to go will be able to buy from.

So those not season ticket holders or valley gold wont get tickets judging by those sold already but three mates of each season ticket holder / vg member can no matter who they support, typical charlton mess

VG members pay £10 to support the club and for a chance to win. Why reward them again with ticket priority for them and their mates. I give to scope and the air ambulance...i wouldnt expect something in return like first call on a bed or ride in the air ambulance
  • I'm sure there's a logical answer to this but why isn't it just one ticket per person? Does seem a bit odd that each ST holder can buy for 3 mates.

That's just how it is, you could always join instead of moaning ?
  • 6 match & coach tickets ordered - I asked whether we could choose which tier we preferred and was able to. So I've got Lower Tier - Row S.

So I join and buy 4 and sell three to on Charlton mates or touts.... does that make it better?
  • Kentred, out of interest what are your circumstances regarding season tickets, matches attended etc? Im guessing by your anger that you aren't a season ticket holder, and have not been to 4 or more away's this season? If that is the case, and not intending to cause offence, but why should you get priority over VG members who actually pump money into the club?

Season ticket holder from c1974 to 2010 (except boycotted selhurst). Valley Gold for over ten years. Recent financial issues so now just turn up on the day to watch.

I am not angry. I will get a ticket from a tout if need be. Not even anti VGs getting one ticket first but 4!

Lots of season ticket holders will get tickets via friends today for example, it'll taper off, but we'll sell out, which will be ace
