Cracking game at Welling tonight, drew 2 2 with Dartford. Welling went ahead twice but Darts pulled it back both times. Welling probably just about shaded it but draw a fair result.0

Is it just me or are the floodlights like a couple of cheap halogens in my front room?0 -
Normally stand in the end they're kicking towards (swap at half time)
I think they had to upgrade the floodlights recently, can't say I've noticed to be honest.0 -

Biggleswade Town won their FAcup replay last night and face Maidstone United on the 11th.

I agree. It was a cracking game - there were no periods when the pace dropped. Dartford were on the attack when the player was injured. Everyone expected the welling player to pass back to the keeper from the drop ball but he put it out for a throw in deep in their half.thai malaysia addick said:

At our level this year we have seen teams stitch us up at drop balls. He's kicked it out for a throw, long gone are the days you just roll it to their keeper so he can launch one out of his hands down your centre backs throats. Ref was dismal and always is when we have him, Dean Treleaven0

Kidderminster vs Welling United Wednesday night live on BT Sport1 7:45 or find a stream on wiziwig.
It could be a bit of a circus as Hereford fans have been given the away end and no idea where we will be. It would be amusing if league club fans came and supported us as they do sometimes for big games.... Especially if Kidderminster put us in a cordoned off area that holds 100.
It would be lovely to spoil their party and win on TV.0 -

They are holding a demonstration against their own board and hijacking the game because its on BTSport live... so be prepared for people running on pitch and non stop singing of Hereford songs... Remarkably the football conference and Kidderminster Harriers have welcomed Hereford fans coming and they have been allocated the away section.

Don't think they're pathetic for me - they have a serious issue within their club that they had a good chance to highlight on TV.

Possibly not too pathetic, being a conference side but i would be pretty anoyed if the same thing happened at charlton by say, i don't know, colchester. i'll be a bit miffed as to what it has to do with us. and why they are in the away end when their team isnt playing. and the away fans of the team we are playing being moved to one side.
It would be the same if charlton fans all said hey lets go up to swindon cos they're on tv and protest on whatever issue we want to protest about even though we are not playing them and not even in the same league0 -
Bromley were held to a 0-0 draw at Grays Athletic.
Sloppy performance really, but Grays 'keeper Conor Gough (remember him?!) made 3 or 4 great saves in the second half to keep the stalemate - replay at Hayes Lane on Tuesday.0 -

Recently, I got into conversations with a few of the Dover Athletic players. We were all on Doncaster Station, me heading home East and they waiting for the London train.
What a really nice group of young men, looking immaculate in their 'walking about' training gear, lugging big bags of kit up the steep station steps. They were very happy and full of it but not too over boisterous after getting a point at Grimsby.
I was very impressed by their obvious love of the game, their knowledge of all aspects of the game, their joy at making part of their living through playing football, the game they obviously love, their understated, realistic ambitions and hopes.
I have no affiliation with Dover Athletic (other than the 'athletic' part of the name) but now, I wish them all the very best for the seasons ahead.0 -

Hamlet lost at home to Bognor yesterday but excellent turnout of over 10000

Dover are semi pro and I believe they train for 3 evenings a week or twice if they have a game. Welling train 3 mornings a week from 10am. Thats a massive commitment for people that have other jobs. Went to Champion Hill with my nephew again yesterday, enjoyed it again and will probably go the day after Fulham away. All students were free admission which might have explained the crowd which was less than 300 fewer than Accrington Stanley.
I understand there are some kind of shenanigans going on regarding the stadium, which is in prime housing development territory, and they are going to need the goodwill of Southwark council to be able to continue playing on their historic home patch.
There have been four occasions of full England caps whilst players have played for Hamlet, I bet that beats a lot of other clubs, probably beats Millwall.0 -
I went to Dulwich yesterday as well. Some nice passing from the boys in pink and blue but no end product. There were about 50 or so from Bognor Regis Town there. Hamlet supporting mate told me they are a bogey team for them. Loud home support throughout and really nice to have a beer while watching the game (though I missed the solitary goal for Bognor while queuing at the bar).
Some of their chants were bizarre though - one about looking like Tuscany. Something to do with how the supporters had been slagged off as not being local enough? If anyone knows full story, do tell.0 -

In the ’80s there was a grassroots campaign to have a new Dulwich Hamlet stadium built next to the proposed Sainsbury’s superstore. Not everyone was for the idea and one local opponent wrote a letter that was read out at consultation meetings. The objection was overruled and permission granted for the new Sainsbury’s and stadium. To this day, Dulwich Hamlet fans confuse the opposition by singing: “Tuscany! Tuscany! We’re the famous Dulwich Hamlet and we look like Tuscany!”, now accompanied by the vigorous waving of a Tuscany regional flag.1 -
