Thought he was very poor tonight.

I had him down as MOM tonight. No he doesn't win the tackles but he keeps the play ticking over and is generally very accurate with his passing. He's probably the most accurate passer of the ball we've had in central midfield in years since Poyet.

We'll see how good he is when he doesn't play on Friday.

So doesn't anyone know what the reason was the he was made available on loan?

Richard Murray hinted that there was a minor issue but didn't say what it was

His value came down on transfermarkt so he needed to big it up by coming to Charlton!

If there was a reason and it wasn't publicly announced then I would assume it's not appropriate to discuss on the Internet.
Allegedly caught at it with another players wife according to a Leige forum (someone posted that here)

Would find that hard to believe , if anyone follows him on Instagram he is always posting soppy love pictures about his Missus and has just got engaged to her!

Anyone got any idea when he'll be back in the team?
  • I think he was close for Saturday so he could even be back this weekend.

So are Charlton Life his shirt sponsors or not?

No indication we are in the 10 home programmes I've got!
  • How did he get on with Movember...

It was mentioned at the beginning of November that he would be doing it yet I never saw him close enough to the East Stand to see his tash, nor was it mentioned again on the O/S

Lepoint to start, Diarra to sign for the bench

That sounds too open against Derby.
Lepoint was signed to play in central midfield, that Wilson came on ahead of him isn't a good sign!

Out of interest, who wouldn't mind that much if he signed permanently for us and who wouldn't mind if he went back to Liege?

I would be happy to sign him, especially if he continues to perform like he did yesterday. He is a very unspectacular type of player and sometimes I feel his contributions can go unnoticed which do lead to him copping some stick. Does not like to go for a header though, and he does sometimes look like he is running in treacle.

I'd say sign him up. He's had a year to adapt to English football so can hopefully be more consistent next season. He clearly has the talent he just needs to want to be here and happy to stay playing for Luzon.

If he's happy and motivated sign him up.

If he continues to play like last night, sign him up ASAP

He went through a bad period that coincided with our slump, but definitely looked more the part yesterday, much more dynamic and putting in some reasonable defensive work too...

Is he supposed to be attacking or defensive?

Either actually. There's definitely a player there, but I'm not really sure exactly what his best role is. I don't think he is either. I'd be happy enough if we got him and wouldn't lose any sleep if he went back
  • When it comes to passing he's our version of Paul Scholes (i.e. keeps it tidy and keeps things ticking)... Unfortunately he's also our version of Paul Scholes when it comes to tackling (i.e. when you see him try to tackle you know its more often than not gonna end up worse for us)

@BelgoFoot: Yoni Buyens tells Sporza that he loves the Championship but he feels he'll be heading back to Standard in the summer (contract ends 6/16).
  • In Belgium media yesterday he indeed said he expects to go back to Liege in the summer. Gives it 75% chance but also mentioned interest from some other clubs. He also said he wasn't too happy at first with Guy Luzons appointment but apparently Guy talked to him and said that 'what happened in Liege is in the past now' and now he has no problem with Guy.

Obviously doesn't realise we'll be in the prem next season...
  • Does that mean that Yoni Buyens is now playing to impress the other clubs that are interested... to be honest if that is the case then I dont mind, he's not one of our players (i.e. being a loanee) so if he can put in the performances that push us up the table and so make us more attractive as a club to other players in the summer then it works well for both parties
