Saw the fans on the pitch surprised it took this long to abandon it
It happened on the 48th minute so has taken around 1 hour to decide to call it off0 -
Crowd erupt as a man on a mobility scooter joins in the protest. pic.twitter.com/Gk8Gx6VQHJ

Good luck to them.
The owner told fans in August to judge them at the end of the season. I think their judgement couldn't be any clearer.

What a disaster for a proud club like Blackpool. Mathews, Mortenson, Farm, Bloomfield etc etc. Feel deeply sorry for their fans and believe they were left with no choice but to protest the way they have done today. Time for the FA to step in!6

Good for them. I hope Oyston gets a massive fine.8

Fair play for protesting, they need to do something. But why on earth do it on the last day of the season with 45 minutes to play? They have now prolonged their own horrible season which they must be desperate to end.0

Would not say it has prolonged their seasonJaShea99 said:Fair play for protesting, they need to do something. But why on earth do it on the last day of the season with 45 minutes to play? They have now prolonged their own horrible season which they must be desperate to end.
FA will fine Oyston which is what the fans want, and the match will be awarded to Huddersfield

I wouldn't say that's a given. I'd imagine they'll replay it. I'd be pissed off as a Leeds fan if they lost a place when they'd argue Blackpool could have won.0

if its waterlogged pitch then maybe so, but crowd interruption I don't think it will be replayedJaShea99 said:I wouldn't say that's a given. I'd imagine they'll replay it. I'd be pissed off as a Leeds fan if they lost a place when they'd argue Blackpool could have won.

What difference does that place make as a Leeds fan?JaShea99 said:I wouldn't say that's a given. I'd imagine they'll replay it. I'd be pissed off as a Leeds fan if they lost a place when they'd argue Blackpool could have won.
Good for them, very sad to see that state that club is being left in.0 -
Have to award it to Hudds otherwise it means that fans can invade the pitch to affect the result.3

Imagine that 2-0 down on the 60th minute, invade the pitch get a 20k fine and win the rematchHenry Irving said:Have to award it to Hudds otherwise it means that fans can invade the pitch to affect the result.
keep doing that throughout the season you will make the fine money up on your way to the prem

Fine thing for them to do, I hope they stormed the directors box and battered them0

Too many fans accept this sort of rubbish, direct action to remove odious owners who fail so dramatically and with out a seemingly care in the world1

What Henry said. Points awarded to Hudds and a huge penalty next season. I feel for their fans I really do but this cannot be allowed without serious repercussions. I can see a points deduction next season. 15 points ?1

Big fine and forfeit the game would be more than enough. Plenty of worse things don't incur points penalties.ShootersHillGuru said:What Henry said. Have 3 points deducted and made to play Millwall next season. Oh.6

Hope the Hudds fans who travelled, booked hotels etc will get some form of recompense.2

Totally disagree. Football cannot allow pitch invasions that stop football matches without the severest of punishment. Results can impact the whole league.Athletico Charlton said:

As a matter of interest what "plenty of worse things" are you thinking about ?

It wouldn't surprise me for Oyston to sue for damages the bloke in the wheelchair and all the rest of the supporters on the pitch.SantaClaus said:

If I was them I'd do it every game.4

It's a matter of context. The game was pointless, Blackpool bottom no matter what. Huddersfield unable to go up or down. It did not impact the league. There is no difference to money to clubs on league places so genuinely zero impact which I would imagine is why their fans waited until the last game. Reading CL last week it was clear this match would be abandoned so anyone travelling should/would have been aware.ShootersHillGuru said:

The only ones to blame are the owners for leaving the club in this state and for not paying for enough stewards to stop this happening when it was well publicised. Hurt them, not the fans. Fine them etc.
To me, biting an opponent which can lead to contagious illness, purposeful GBH on a fellow player (Keane), racism, all worse than interrupting a meaningless end of season game. If I had been a Hudds fan I probably would not have gone, but if I had I would have joined in!
Good on the fans for doing it, they do not need further punishment.7 -
Problem is oysten is too much of a w@nker to react to it the right way and sell up. He will just keep giving them hell and internally destroy the soul of the club. Hope I'm wrong.

As we remember the fight of the Valley Party 25 years ago I find the attitude of some of our modern fans on here rather pathetic. Fine them, points deduction blah blah blah....
Lest we forget!
And before anyone says that that phrase should only be used in circumstances of war rememberance, check your facts.
We as free people can protest in any way we choose.17
