Sending him to a rival team is crazy.11
-
Unbelievable. Although I do believe it.2
-
On the face of it odd, but he hasn't been performing recently for whatever reason. If he goes and it allows us to bring in a temporary replacement, hopefully a better one, then maybe but if the replacement was Vaz Te only then it's a bad move.2
-
Surely the new manager should have a say if and when he arrives?
;-11 -
Absolutely mental. Are these pratts trying to relegate us?8

It's not about the results, it's all about the budget.
Crazy Charlton Logic - January 2014 - to date.10 -
If there was any doubt that the demonstrations should go ahead ...........
See you all behind the West Stand at 12.00.44 -
If this is a with a view to a permanent deal type loan then I I think we're giving up on him way too soon, especially as we still only have Mak and Reza who are in any way experienced and even close to fully fit.
If it's a chance for him to get fit and in a bit of form in someone else's team I'm okay with that, but Cardiff seems a weird choice of team to send him to.3 -
They don't care whether we are relegated or not. It's the budget that is important, not the football.cafctom said:Absolutely mental. Are these pratts trying to relegate us?

My reckoning is a fall out with Fraeye for attitude problems, he was a big Luzon fan and is as fed up as the rest of us at the merry go round of coaches, especially someone who doesn't warrant a head coaching job at Charlton. RD will obviously allow him going out on an emergency loan as it takes wages away from us for a player who wouldn't be playing much, if any, game time at all.
Ludicrous to say the least but what do we expect from this ownership.. a lot of young fans (and probably older) favourite player, and one of our best, in terms of talent, out on loan to another team in our own league? Farce8 -

Were finally starting to get a squad together and fit again and these fuckwits want to dismantle it again.4
-
He obviously has a bad attitude as evidenced by his fall out with Luzon at the start of the season.
Let him go and get some money6 -
Not been anywhere near the squad and we've won twice. Maybe Jackson and Euell have had a word.
I personally think this is a dressing room decision, not an ability one.16 -
How much of that wonderful £9 million did they spend on Watt and Vetokele but yet they want to loan them both out. Clueless2
-
There will be some movement in before the window closes on Thursday.1
-
Everyone club wise sees to like him across social media.
Doesn't add up0 -
This does suggest that his presence in and around the squad is unsettling. He had a great start to the season but in our recent slump he was not showing signs of giving too much of a toss.

Joke surely. On his day he is a world beater0

Haven't got a clue.Com!0

Another of the (few) players who is genuinely enjoyable to watch, shipped out to a champ rival. Weird.1

Watt is a maverick and not someone who seems to know how to conform as part of a team. He also isn't an ideal foil to big Mak.
He is a player who can make things happen but is probably best served doing so as a sub, a position he probably isn't prepared to accept.5 -
On his day Tony Watt is the first player on the teamsheet. That said 'his day' hasn't come for a long time, probably not since the QPR game so I can see why he would be loaned out to be honest. On current form he's probably slipped behind Makienok, Reza, Lookman and Vaz Te. Granted that recent run of results nobody came out shining but Watt in particular should have been contributing more.
I wouldn't want to see it be a long term loan or a loan-to-perm view but maybe a short term loan might give him the kick up the backside he needs.1 -
Is there another reason for this I wonder? Just thinking of his previous reputation and that the winless streak started straight after he had a falling out with Luzon and was left on the bench until half time. Has he has a negative impact on the team?
Just a thought?

What the actual f***3
-
He's not playing at the moment and If he scores a few on loan for Cardiff he will be worth more in the summer. I'm sure that will be Roland's motive for this move. He'll want to get back what he paid Celtic for him when he owned SL if he does want to move him on. Plus with all the 'fraud' accusations flying around about the watt signing RD is probably keen to get watt off the books asap before that matter develops to a more serious level. If watt was to return to form with us then Liege will continue to kick up a fuss so this maybe Rolands way of dealing with that problem.0

But we're winning matches without Tony Watt... Hate to say but apart from the start we've been awful with him in the side.Covered End said:If there was any doubt that the demonstrations should go ahead ...........

Could understand if he was our top-scorer by a distance but he isnt... the moment Luzon was sacked I was laughed at on here when I said that Tony Watt would leave soon after because he was the only Manager that could get through to Tony (confirmed when he was the only person on Twitter / Instagram to comment on the sacking), looks like its set to be the case and is sad because everywhere else we'll just be another club where Tony failed, and I don't believe that the case5 -

Just when you think we are starting to go in the right direction the clowns running our club make a ridiculous football decision. What a joke.5
-
It's the right decision. It always is.32

Another in a long line of baffling decisions. Not quite up there with Morrison and Kermogant though3
