  • Can't recall him until January I think.

Looks full of confidence which is a big thing for him. I think we would be crazy not to bring him back and let Fraeye and Jase have a go with him.

Just a shame his best position (LW) doesn't seem to be an issue we have at the moment. It's more defensively we need reinforcements.

We all know what will happen when he misses from 12 yards and then is subbed in the 60th..

    'Fack off back to Essex'

  • I'd be absolutely stunned if we don't recall him in January, he's in great form. He then has until May to prove he's good enough to stay with us for longer.

Tell him to ditch the gloves & we'll have him back.

How could we run out with a comfortable 4-0 win if we have cold hands? That's anything but comfortable.

Love the way he's no longer afraid to run with the ball.

    Confidence, eh?

I never rated him as a keeper.
    Failed the height test.

Even better how he lost the ball and went straight after it again... Yes it was against Altrincham but good to see the commitment from him, he'll be going from a relegation battle with Colchester to one with Charlton so wont be much difference in club confidences

  • If Fraeye is still with us then perhaps the thinking will be that Harriott did well in the Riga/Fraeye period so perhaps Fraeye can get the best out of him again.

I have my doubts and think it will all end in tears should Harriott come back.
  • I never agreed with sending him out on loan in the first place (and said so at the time) when we have no other player in that position.

And why did we allow him to play in the FA Cup and not Lennon?

The question is, would he actually want to come back here?

Has no choice though... Hopefully he'll come back and be like Reza... two players who MUST play well if they want to earn a Contract in a decent League next season

With his contract expiring this summer isn't he free to negotiate from January anyway though?

Isn't that only applicable if a foreign club shows interest?

Ah yes, looks like you're right. Nothing to see here. Move along!

Bit naive to think conversations are not already being had with other clubs.

Certainly means that Reza could technically be off next month though...

I see him moving abroad again rather than staying in England if not with us

As far as we know there is no agreement to loan him beyond January. The following is what the rules say about standard loans, which this is as it was initiated during the transfer window.

53.2.2 Subject to the proviso that the duration of a Standard Loan must be the time between two Transfer Windows, Standard Loans can be for half a Season or a full Season. Any recall clause requiring the early termination of a Standard Loan can only be included in a full Season Standard Loan and this can only be activated during the second (January) Transfer Window. Any other early termination of a Standard Loan must be by way of a mutual agreement in writing (including by way of a recall clause within the Standard Loan Agreement) between both Clubs and the Player but can only be completed after the expiry of 28 days and only during a Transfer Window (but subject to Regulation 53.2.3 below).

It's part of the Shelvey Gomez sale deal that we have to borrow from their shirt sponsor.
  • The obvious replacement for Lookman, surely?

lol .. many a prophecy .. spoken in jest ((:>)
  • I think Lookman will go in January (hope not).
Probably for something like £500,000 (or a little more) and we will
get Calum back. We will also be selling Tony Watt.
If only Man Utd has come in for Morgan Fox (who wont be leaving).
We are fast becoming the laughing stock of the football league.
I believe Cameron Stewart was playing for Doncaster Rvers yesterday.
He wasn't too bad for us on loan. But probably over RD's budget.
    Sad days for CAFC!

The 2-2 game at Yeovil, Stewart had an absolute blinder.

He should still be with us.

Didn't see the Yeovil game but the replayed Doncaster home match,
    He was superb.

Like most wingers, he would struggle doing the defensive side.

Freddie Bulot is still missed because he had a great first touch and could both attack and defend. Another one that got away.

  • Cock up the Bulot deal, sign an Everton youth player, and loan out Harriott. Katrien Meire logic.

Not 100% sure but did we loan out Callum before the Ceballos injury or after? He seems to be the forgotten man at the moment. Even more ludicrous loaning not him out if it was after the CC injury.

I VERY sadly follow Cally on snapchat and over the last few days and this morning has 'snapchatted' about moving house and the picture was Colchester town centre...
