    I remember buying the VOTV from Rick outside Selhurst Park many many years ago during our last momentous battle. 30 years later, I once again bought a copy from him yesterday. CAFC forever in turmoil, with Rick front and centre fighting for the club's future.

    Funnily enough I too bought a VOTV from Rick outside Selhurst Park many years ago, and also thirty years later bought one from him yesterday.... Bastard didnt remember me!

    I had a pee next to @Airman Brown in the bogs after the game at Wigan and a chat a couple of seasons ago about Thuram who let two in late on to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. It's ok Rick your secret is safe with me and hopefully mine is with you :wink: . Well done with everything lately and thanks for all your efforts.

    I WENT into a public 'ouse to get a pint o' beer,
    The publican 'e up an' sez, " We serve no red-coats here."
    The girls be'ind the bar they laughed an' giggled fit to die,
    I outs into the street again an' to myself sez I:
    O it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' " Tommy, go away " ;
    But it's " Thank you, Mister Atkins," when the band begins to play
    The band begins to play, my boys, the band begins to play,
    O it's " Thank you, Mister Atkins," when the band begins to play.

    I went into a theatre as sober as could be,
    They gave a drunk civilian room, but 'adn't none for me;
    They sent me to the gallery or round the music-'alls,
    But when it comes to fightin', Lord! they'll shove me in the stalls!
    For it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' " Tommy, wait outside ";
    But it's " Special train for Atkins " when the trooper's on the tide
    The troopship's on the tide, my boys, the troopship's on the tide,
    O it's " Special train for Atkins " when the trooper's on the tide.

    Yes, makin' mock o' uniforms that guard you while you sleep
    Is cheaper than them uniforms, an' they're starvation cheap.
    An' hustlin' drunken soldiers when they're goin' large a bit
    Is five times better business than paradin' in full kit.
    Then it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an` Tommy, 'ow's yer soul? "
    But it's " Thin red line of 'eroes " when the drums begin to roll
    The drums begin to roll, my boys, the drums begin to roll,
    O it's " Thin red line of 'eroes, " when the drums begin to roll.

    WTF?

    Perhaps the invite for him to join the Target 20K group was belated realisation that Rick's one of those people you'd much rather have inside the tent pissing out, than outside the tent pissing in. Fat lot of good it's going to do them though.

    Doesn't matter a great deal when everybody is being pissed on by the regime.

    Great work Rick, they don't like it up em.

    Where's AB gone since the protests? I think he must've been smuggled off by the circus in the back of a big black van and is on the way to Roland's torture chamber in Belgium.

    Thanks for your thoughtful, literate and helpful contribution magic, perhaps now you can tell us what exactly YOU have done on our behalf?

  • Anyone seen PL54 ?

    Was wondering where he was also. Last comment of his I remember seeing was 'get yourselves organised'...

    I'm sure he's being laughed at somewhere.

    Ben,

    Like it.

    First 3 verses are definitely "cometh the hour, cometh the Airman".

    But most of the fifth verse feels very apposite to Katrien as well??

    "You talk o' better food for us, an' schools, an' fires, an' all:
    We'll wait for extry rations if you treat us rational.
    Don't mess about the cook-room slops, but prove it to our face
    The Widow's Uniform is not the soldier-man's disgrace. "
