Watt, Lookman, Vet, JBG, Harriott... Pretty good front 5. Shame they will never play together.

Even Riga ain't that stooopid to play 5 upfront.........

If I thought the £2m would be spend on a decent replacement if be more than happy with it. Trouble is you know it won't.

And what formation would that front 5 fit in anyway
You are allowed to have a bench with decent players on it though arnt you... Or are you Roland. ;-)

I would have Harriot and JBG wingers, Lookman and Watt upfront. Vet off the bench and Cousins and Poyet in the middle. Looks reasonable to me.

So Watt is due back on Sunday. No update yesterday (as was rumoured) on a permanent move to Cardiff. Maybe he's already upset a few of them.

Maybe Riga wants him back. I guess it all depends whether his issue was with other players or with Fraeye. Although I think Colin mentioned it was with the players.
  • New manager, maybe a clean slate if to many bridges have not been burned. I would take back a fit and firing Watt in a heartbeat.

Either way... This has shown Roland the benefit of having Charlton Athletic and not selling us.

    - Celtic to Standard Liege: £1.2m
    - Standard Liege to Charlton Athletic: £Free
    - Charlton Athletic to Cardiff City: £2m

Instant profit within one year for him right there

By the time you've paid his wages during that time though, there's no profit at all.

You reckon he's on 30000+ grand a year? Also he contributed massively for us staying up so I reckon it's a good bit of business.

I find it interesting that JJ and Euell are the guys who complained about Tony Watt
according to a few posters on CL ?
Jason was still involved with the U21, when the problems were taking place ?
or had he been taking 1st team training as well.
could it have been a prank that backfired like putting something else in the tea of the players instead of sugar ?

I mean no one wants to be assaulted at work.
Or did Tony dip his fried mar bar in ? (i hope this is not a euphemism)

Just giving him the benefit of the doubt as he is not the only person I have heard this from about Watt :-)

    But point taken :-)

Glad he's going. And at £2 million he's now another clubs liability. His true colours will show when Cardiff go on a losing streak, as I've said before the guy is clearly a cock and that seems to be the opinion of many fans two favourite players (hendo and jacko).

Now to find the next Naby Sarr.

Interesting point about the fans customers two favourite players.

    southlondonpress.co.uk/article.cfm?id=114664&headline=Stephen%20Henderson:%20I%20want%20Cardiff%20City%20new%20boy%20Tony%20Watt%20to%20return%20to%20Charlton%20Athletic&sectionIs=sport&searchyear=2015

To me this smells like bullshit coming from the club. They need him off the wage bill to bring in more substandard players.

£300k a year is only £6k a week. I reckon Tony was on closer to £10k, having come via Liege.

A player that has now been sold by three clubs because of issues of the pitch, yet we still make 800,000 profit

Think about your answer again !!!

Is that the 'Royal' we or do you mean just in RD'd pocket?

  • Group hug and all make up , lets get a player in the team with more ability than me

Do I see this right that Cawley has changed his tune within the space of 30 seconds?
