Even Meire called him MANAGER. We'll see.....0
-
Good luck, you will need it. Long career, numerous clubs, no promotions.1
-
-
They even have a new Scarfy!!4
-
That looks like an imposter scarfy. We want our scarfy back!10

Manager, aye?
At least I can finally start listening to a manager postmatch who doesn't talk in riddles. Welcome Russell and best of luck.0 -
"Charlton's new MANAGER", not head coach apparently.
Press Conference tomorrow, hope one of the journos there is willing to ask the relevant questions.7 - Sponsored links:

3 year deal. Decent pay off then if it goes bandy for him. Just hope the fella has an ounce of sense and got everything promised to him in writing,0
-
At least we won't need to take another one of Slade for our first home game in August now.0
-
He's got no hair we don't care!2

The appointment of a fat bald bloke fits in nicely with the general Charlton fan demographic. Clever.24

Press conference at the Valley on Tuesday. Any one with the day off tomorrow?1

and they need to make him aware of the feelings of the fans towards the regime and how he feels walking into such a toxic situationMrLargo said:"Charlton's new MANAGER", not head coach apparently.

And KM said 'his appointment is the start of an exciting new era at the Club', a bold statement to make although in truth it will be just another lie.0

Pretty pleased with Slade to be honest. Let's see what team he's got to play with in a couple of months.1

Get in! I said page 67 way back on page 6 of this thread9
-
Yeah that new era will ideally begin with Slade as Manager and another announcement in five minutes that we've accepted a takeover bid!!LargeAddick said:And KM said 'his appointment is the start of an exciting new era at the Club', a bold statement to make although in truth it will be just another lie.

Come on hear the noise, Russell Slade filling the void3
-
Can anyone confirm whether he is manager or head coach?0
-
I say we call him Nobby Vinegar.3
-
She loves that phrase, the dozy cow. It was "the start of a new era" on last year's season ticket promotional stuff as well. What it actually means is "please can we forget about the catalogue of cock-ups that preceded the arrival of this week's new manager/head coach".LargeAddick said:And KM said 'his appointment is the start of an exciting new era at the Club', a bold statement to make although in truth it will be just another lie.

Should be an interesting press conference with some obvious questions to ask - let's hope the press are allowed to ask them... I won't begin to believe anything has changed or has the potential to change until I hear Slade say he has total and full control. Also reading that statement from the club, I find anything Meire says makes me feel physically sick - even something that should be positive.3

The article clearly states "manager", but of what it doesn't say. Usually you'd expect someone to be announced as the new First Team Manager. With that in mind, I reckon Nobby Vinegar's still on his way as first team head coach, and Russell has replaced Fat Mandy as the Ticket Office Manager.colthe3rd said:Can anyone confirm whether he is manager or head coach?
