Not sure what Kimmich was playing at. Griezman needs a new goal celebration

Keown can out with a classic earlier on after a German offside. "Good line though"...errr no it wasn't, he was offside

Why would you play with 2 midfielders as strikers when you have Gomez and Podolski on the bench? Gotze is out of favour at Bayern and Muller hasn't scored in the Euros in his career.

Gomez is injured and out of the tournament. Podolski looked a bit past it at Arsenal a couple of years ago

Really surprised they didn't play with podolski. Gomez isn't fit but playing Muller up that high is such a waste. He's good because he's hard to mark, Koscielny has got a cigar on tonight.

Didn't realise Gomez was ruled out in the end. Podolski didn't fit into the Arsenal way, and is the third highest all time goalscorer for Germany, he'd have been a better bet than Gotze

Even better one whenKimmich hit the bar "what a finish......" It would have been had it gone in. Earning your money here Martin.

Copying the Icelandic celebration is a bit cringey...

City adopting the Poznan was seriously the end of their pretence to be a decent club

The penalty changed that game completely.

France were great defensively second half.

Griezmann's got top scorer and player of the tournament sewn up now

He's also scored more in the finals than any player in history... Only Ronaldo or Name scoring 4 or 5 each can beat him. And that's only if he doesn't score again.

    Platini scored 9 in 1984

For all their great passing Germany created a lot less than France. Earlier in the tournament Matthaus said that they should play with a number 9, they brought Gomez in and looked more dangerous. They missed him tonight and don't seem to have anyone else to play that role.

Surely only complacency can stop them now?

ITs crazy a team with that much ability though, Gomes, Imo is fricking woeful. His touch is just that of the proverbial.

The Penalty decision fcked the game, game of two halves with a bent decision at the end of the first half changing it.

Yeah, Bristow was just too good.
He did get that 9 darter though.

I agree Gomez isn't great. Do you remember Hrubesch? (Or Rubbish as Jack Charlton called him)

During the England Germany friendly, they looked far more dangerous when Gomez was on the field, shocking that they had no replacement in their squad

We are seeing so many nations now not producing enough top quality out and out strikers, this could be the fault of certain era's of the past with a false number 9, but it's odd really.

Germany without Gomez haven't got anyone.
Spain without Morata haven't really got anyone top class.
Portugal haven't produced a striker in years.

Well done to France. I hope that Payet plays a blinder in the final, sets up Giroud twice to score as I have Giroud at E/W so £50-60 and Payet as player of the tournament. Unfortunately, I think I'll miss out the Payet one now.

France's tournament to lose now imo. Think Gomez is a big miss for Germany and their flair midfielders suffer without that focal point to the attack.
