Sincere, heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you out in Belgium. It's this kind of stuff that makes me proud to be a Charlton fan.2
-
Think this is by far the best idea so far, the fact that 'The Belgian 20' have just been over there makes it all the better. Massive well done and thank you to all involved. Think the last few days might end up another chapter in the history books.2

Plenty of shelter in De Kanarie Bar across the road. They are charlton friendlyChicagoAddick said:Met with quite a bit of resistance outside STVV stadium apparently.

Seth, that brought a tear to my eye. Thank- you to you all.seth plum said:May I add that those of us here in Belgium today would not be able to feel as confident as we do without the certain knowledge that the overwhelming majority of out fans support this effort.
We know hundreds of you would do the same if you were in a position to do and we are merely the physical manifestation of all of you who care all of you who write in support, who join in protests, who contribute to the fighting fund, all of you who boycott, all of you who spread the word.
We are not particularly special but doing what many others would do too. The creativity, collective effort, intelligence and wit of our fan base is everybody's, some of us are here unelected and singular but deep down I know I am here trying to do something on behalf of everybody.
Thanks for the messages of support but the best expression will be a passionate protest from all of us at the Sheffield United game.4 -
What type of resistance and by who?ChicagoAddick said:Met with quite a bit of resistance outside STVV stadium apparently.

So, are you all staying in the St Truiden Red Light District?Arsenetatters said:Sunrise in Belgium. Taxi hiding from view. A long, but hopefully fruitful, day ahead. Happy birthday Roland......
It's about time the hotel owner started giving a discount to Charlton fans - he's made a fortune out of our protests.

That's right.
He has one 70th birthday weekend. Which has been partially ruined by supporters of a club that's less than 1.5% of his business interests.
We have one club, that takes up a lot of weekends and he has ruined that along with Katrien.
I think he has ruined more for us than we have ruined for him.

The fact that he's upset shows what a masterstroke the enterprise is. I feel a debt of gratitude to everyone involved.16
-
Personally hoping he won't see his next birthday and therefore they've ruined his last ever one.
I can dream I suppose6 -

I'm very upset that he bought our club and trashed it without any sort of business plan, or the management level who were able to pick their nose without looking in a mirror.

Talks sport about to discuss Charlton apparently.3

We could put it in for a marketing award? Was done in the old Valley Party days...and it won one, I believe! @PragueAddickMountsfieldPark said:I wish I could nominate the taxi for the Turner Prize.

Hey, Roland: "Nous voulons le retour de notre Charlton".

IPA effectiveness award. Not really possible for this, I fear. Would have to be for the whole CARD campaign, and prove direct results from it.Weegie Addick said:

I would say overall it would be best entered for a PR campaign award, but one where they have a category for campaigns for small businesses. Imagine if we are there on the podium with Pitch PR....
I believe our man who might know about PR awards is @CharltonCharlie - not sure if that is his handle, tho.
I will ask my contacts too.
Edit; Charlton Charlie is already on the case.13
