Feels like a good point, but the league table is still troubling me - those games in hand for Port Vale seem to give us a false sense of security.

Our best performance in months and you're talking relegation? Cmon

Thought we deserved to win. Missed some very good chances. Entertaining second half

Bradford were very dangerous in the first half and we looked nervous until we scored but the second half was one of the best halfs ive seen us play in while.
Holmes was behind every attack and Watt caused their defence all sorts of problems.
    Good game overall
  • At the station on the way home. Should have been all three points. Missed three sitters 2nd half and not sure Rudd made a save.

Think we need 51 points to be safe - just a win and a draw.

What an exciting end to the season!

Decent draw but if we lose Saturday (which is very likely) and Port Vale win then things start to become very worrying.

I think the last three games have killed relegation stone dead tbh - I don't think we should worry about losing away to the runaway leaders
  • We'll not likely go down and won't go up. Play out the rest of the season and hope an ownership with footballing ambition is instilled to properly compete next term.

All over us for the first 10. After that best performance of the season from us. Old Charlton like. Two misses from Watt and Tex means it's 1 all.

100% commitment from all the players.

Team starting to get some points....perhaps performances lifting due to talk (or knowledge) of a change of ownership?

Best performance in months and we still can only draw. Still within the grasp of the teams below us. Hardly unreasonable for people to still be concerned about relegation is it?

I sort've agree but 2 of the 5 between us have a game in hand and Port Vale could be on equal points if they win their 3 in hand.

Should probably start realising that the teams below us are absolute shite though.

Just don't like thinking about it I guess.

We're quite lucky that our last four matches are against teams equally as pants as, if not more than, us.

50 points is the "staying up" mark usually. You'd have to think we'd get at least three points between now and the end of April given that run of games.

Wasn't there but sounds like we deserved more than a point. No way the bottom 3 should now catch us but with Port Vale having games in hand we can't relax quite yet.
  • Cracking game, great performance from the charlton players who wanted to win every ball, knew where their team mates were or were going to play the ball to, and got the crowd behind them, I enjoyed every minute. Bradford were no mugs and had a pacey attack and the charlton players were more than a match for them.

The funny thing is we are only really useless against the useless sides. It'd almost be better if we were playing top half sides if you look at our record. Weird season.

New Yorkie called it - one win and a draw is all we need to rubber stamp our midtable mediocrity.

The teams below us are below us for a reason. They are not all going to find promotion form in the games they've got left.
And they can't all win all their games as those teams still have to play each other and the promotion pack.

Of those 3 games Port Vale have in hand on us, they're still right now 5 points behind the safety line.
They might yet get themselves out of trouble, but it's not going to be us that gets relegated.

Only if you put the ball in the back of the net. Effort was 100%, but that does not win you games alone.

Actually quite enjoyed that. First 20 of the second half should have killed them off but it was nice to see 100% effort and a fairly high degree of application for a change. Has something happened behind the scenes to lighten the mood? I hope so!

Actually really enjoyed that, first game I've probably enjoyed (bar protests) for 12 months.

First half we looked such a fragile side, but we really grew into the game and tempo second half. Should have won it and three times ballsed it up when it would have been easier to score .

Thought the couple of hundred in the North Upper done a cracking job second half, take a bow chaps. Was ably backed by some professional rhythmical clapping by the East.

No one in football claps along as well as that stand.

Marshall for them looked the real quality player on the pitch

Port Vale will be playing twice a week now until the end of season. I doubt they have got the resources to do that and constantly get results.

    Nothing to worry about.

Played well. We should be safe so just hoping we can build some momentum to take in to next season.

In reality though it's irrelevant as anyone decent will be sold, loanees won't return and we'll be starting from scratch again.

Regardless good to see the boys putting in a shift.

Want to be part of Chris Powell's second coming.

Team finding form (despite such a huge injury list), is probably more like the team playing a formation they know and are comfortable with.
Players play best when they know what they're supposed to be doing.

Sounds like somebody in the dressing room (I couldn't possibly think who could it be) has had a word in Gobby's ear.

Potentially (if Vale get 5 from 9) 2 points closer to relegation than before the game. Should be safe but you never know.

Weren't you the guy that started the "we'll be alright" thread last season ?
  • Port Vale have two easier matches coming up. Shrewsbury and Coventry whilst we play Sheffield.

Could make franchise a big match or the start of the dead rubbers.

Have to admit that second half was our best performance for a long long time. We actually looked like a team. On the negative side if port vale win 2 out of 3 of their game in hand we are only 4 off relegation.
