I was at Brammell Lane that sunny afternoon, when he came on and changed the game there, and I instantly knew we had a player and a half, the way he absolutely ruined the Sheffield United back four in that last 30 minutes was amazing. He is our Cantona, gawd bless the Yann

The fella is like a vintage wine that gets better with age, 100 per cent commitment, a dash of panache , and making up big time for time sadly lost earlier in his life, we love you Yanny!

Excellent analogy MIA. I hope you don't mind me nicking your idea.

Stig , fantastic idea, i don't use the hospitality suites at the valley, but I could see a bottle of Yann going down a treat, great marketing idea!!

Apparently he was livid with Pritchard for setting up JJ for the forth on saturday, as he wanted to desperately finish as top goal scorer..........................

He sure was! Was really going on to CP in front of Covered End E block and Powelly had to put his arm around him to calm him down. Good to see such desire always present.

Legend, deemed not worth an improved contract by the regime and replaceable by Peter Parsnip.

Still his transfer fee paid for new pitch and some new seats grrrrh :rage:

Thomas Driessen thought that Piotr Parzysyk (sp?) would have more resale value

How those Belgian shitbags let him go was scandalous. Not quite legend status for me , but what a player .

He has scored 46 Championship goals since leaving us three years ago. If he had been kept around to score those goals for us he would have gone on to be the greatest Charlton goalscorer in decades.

And we wouldn't be in League One.

    Still raging about it.

And just think, Yann would never have even gone to Bournemouth if *you know who* would have just rejected their offer. It's no fluke that they were promoted to the Premier League, and it's no fluke that Reading are on the brink of promotion now either. The guy is 35 and still an amazing footballer. The stats don't lie either, this season he won more aerial duels than any other Championship striker, most completed passes for a Championship striker and most sucessful tackles for a Championship striker. I hope when he retires at the end of next season it will be in the Premier League at the top of his game.

A quick check shows that this is only 25 less than all our forwards combined in the 160 League Games since he left

Delighted for Yann but also feel a little sick looking at that photo.
    Roland you bastard.

The better Yann does, the more RD and KM will stand by their decision to get rid - the backfire effect. It is more harmful to their egos to admit they were wrong than to deny wrong doing in the face of overwhelming evidence.

The more errors they make, the more the world is wrong and they are right.

Hope he smashes a hat trick in the final all the same, not to prove them wrong because they just don't care but because he is a legend and one of my favourite ever Charlton players
