Memorable graffiti round London from over the years

Always remember the huge mural on top of a block of flats in Rotherhithe/ Bermondsey "Alive" with a woman's face as the train would pass by. Flats knocked down years ago.

Remember a big CAFC on the railway sidings between London Bridge and cannon street also.

My favourite one by far was just beyond London Bridge and some builders had crudely scrawled on a derelict building "Big Dave's Gusset" in huge letters. They'd done it in a position meaning it was inaccessible so there permanently. Always made me chuckle and picture poor big Dave's boat when he saw it for the first time and every subsequent time he passed it on the train.

    I remember “Be Cool But Care” along a local railway line somewhere?!? I’m guessing maybe between Kidbrooke and Blackheath?

    .....I also remember when having my first ‘proper’ birthday party at home when I was 14 or 15.

    My older brother was ‘on the door’ with orders from my dad not to let anyone in that I didn’t approve of.

    2 Herberts turned up to get in and my brother told them to piss off.

    Party went ok I guess but when I got up in the morning the 2 Herberts (I assume) had come back and drawn a 6ft cock and balls (with obligatory jizz spurts) on my front door with magic marker.

    It was funny as fuck but my dad sadly didn’t agree.

    The 'Big Dave's gusset' one should have been preserved like a Banksie would be - it was excellent - always brought a smile to my face

    My favourite was when the "Free Oz" on the side of a pub in Plumstead was turned into Free Booze with an arrow pointing to the front.

    Not London but as we pulled into Hartlepool station, on a bridge was painted “welcome to Hartlepool. It’s grim here.”

    On Creekside near the Bird's Nest in Deptford there used to be "Whither Atrophy".
    Think it was the same guy who'd done the Love Over Gold one which was in the same area. There were a lot round there but I think the council painted them all over.

    was that the CAFC B-MOB on the left if you were pulling out of Cannon Street?

    There was one before you crossed the river just outside LB too but now you mention it I do remember that B Mob one too.

    Best one for me is just out from the Blackwall tunnel in which someone had written "The Lifestyle You Ordered is Currently Out of Stock" - which would have been read by mainly annoyed commuters on their way to work. (I believe this was Banksy, but may be wrong)

    On the foot tunnel in Floyd Road, right opposite the club shop:

    It was there for years, but I never met anyone who knew the story behind it.

    My dad took me and my cousin to see Spurs v Man U in late 70’s when we were 8 or 9

    As approached the ground there was graffiti saying ‘ we all agree, Tottenham Hotspur’s are wankers’ me and my cousin started singing it, not knowing what wankers meant. My dad was desperately trying to get us to shut up as started getting strange looks from Spurs fans !

    I remember in the early 80s there was what would now be called a viral marketing campaign by the band "Case" who painted their name all over the place - it was on one of the bridges next to the Blackwall Tunnel. I used to have their record it was a cracker.
