Someone has dumped their rubbish directly under where someone has written No Fly Tipping. A metaphor for modern Britain?
That's Gobinson's luggage carefully placed to ensure a quick getaway.

I just know @Henry Irving will win the prize on the prediction thread. The only person I know who will definitely already have a copy of the Jimmy Seed story already.
So he’s gone for May 8th I think.

I've got an original copy of the Jimmy Seed story too.

And no, I didn't buy it in 1957.

You were still on Janet and John books then weren't you Oggster?
haha ..... not quite, just a 2 year old; still sitting on my mum's lap, watching "Watch with Mother"

You had a telly in 1957? You must have been very posh.

"Listen with Mother" for the rest of us (from 1961)

In fact we did, Henry. Apparently it was bought new in 1956, and I remember it to be a varnished wooden cased cube, with a small gold coloured "PYE" monogram on the top.

Right, enough of the interesting stuff. Best get back on topic speculating about nothing happening.

Is that Arabic for "no more bacon in the vols-au-vent"?
    Just says it happens
The "SH" is obviously silent (and invisible) in Arabic!!!

I haven't been to the Valley for a long time because of my decision to stay away until Roland goes, but what has happened to the Mural? Or is that picture photoshopped?

The mural is further down. This one is on top of Floyd Road.

I thought that's where the mural was, but it's not been there for a while. Two murals?

Not that I've looked for ages but the mural is next to the Chippy on the bend. This bit is at the top of Floyd Road/Charlton Church lane.

No, I found it in the old Oxfam charity shop that used to be at the bottom of Mason's Hill, Bromley in 1977.
    Cost me 20p.

    Henry's still looking for it.

That's the unauthorised reprint, with a photo of Jimmy Seed taken on the day he became the Millwall manager, on the cover. Happy, smiling Millwall players in the background. Good boxset though, apart from that.
If we sued for breach of copyright, would Duchatelet have to pay?

As grandson, Jimmy - are you now the copyright owner?

I had to look it up, but copyright on a book ends 70 years after the author of a book dies! So you might have a case although I doubt they made million :) It is probably good in some ways that fans can read about Seed.

No don't get me wrong, it's great, but it's less great when you're looking for a publisher for a new book.

When I win the Palm d'Or at Cannes for directing the film, "The Jimmy Seed Story", I'll make sure I give you a mention

Ah, and there was me thinking this was on the bend. This boycott is playing havoc with my memory.

You got a real bargain there.

I had an original JS story book but, somewhere in a house move it went missing. I bought another one but it cost a few quid more than yours.

I think it ended up in a charity shop in Bromley 40 years ago
