Faf Du Plessis has been added to the squad for the CC match at Yorkshire.4

Maybe it’s not the end2

Surprising, but a quality playerCallumcafc said:Faf Du Plessis has been added to the squad for the CC match at Yorkshire.0 -
Just give Darren Stevens another year. He already has 43 wickets at 19.00 with more games to play and has scored 322 runs at 21.47 when batting badly. There are specialist batsmen with contracts who have not done a lot better in recent seasons.

Kent win the toss and bat first
57-5, Faf out for a duck, with fellow Saffer Duanne Olivier getting 4 of them!0 -
looks like a bad decision to bat first?1
-
112-5
Stevens (51*) giving another nudge to the contract decision makers! Billings is 33*1 -
It certainly seems like tough conditions out there first thing. Maybe Billings was influenced by Tim Payne's mistake at the Oval!redman said:looks like a bad decision to bat first?0 -

184-5 Stevens 85* Billings 66*2

Stevo is a god!1
-
100 FOR STEVO!!!! they cant let him go now. SURELY !!! What a man.7

Simon Cook is re-joining as specialist bowling coach. We are also hiring a full time batting coach - wonder if Trott is in the frame for that gig.0
-
We have a batting point!!
Stevo 98*0 -
210-5
Which sounds infinitely better than 39-50 -
Typical that Darren (God) has remembered how to bat in September . What a great player

Ton for Stevo!
210-5
Stevens 106* Billings 71*4 -
How old was Ramprakash when he hit his final ton? Got to be the oldest Championship centurion since (I'll guess here) Kim Barnett?0
-
Older than both. This would make a good quiz question...0

Nah, he's older than Trescothick.
Shiv Chanderpaul might be the answer if he hit a ton last season mind you0 -
He didn't.
Really curious about this now!0 -
When Methuselah was a lad he used to watch Lord Stevens bat ...1

Kick is of course Hick!0
-
Hick was 420

Oldest Test centurion: Jack Hobbs 46 years 82 days

Gooch was 44 in his final season but didn't hit a ton...0
-
Jack Hobbs scored a Test hundred when he was 46. He hit 199 First Class tons so I suspect that he would have been older than Stevens to do so
Edit - B A beat me to it!0
