  • Kenny Jackett at Pompey must be close to the push .. only 1 win from 6 so far this season
For what it's worth "Jackett" was trending on Twitter last night, and not for the right reasons!

League One strugglers Southend United want to bring in former Sweden, Celtic, Barcelona and Manchester United striker Henrik Larsson as their new manager. (Mail)

They seriously need someone who is going to tighten up that defence and stop them conceding so many goals. Otherwise, as things are going Southend are going to get cut adrift from everyone else above them and there will only be one relegation space to fill in League One.
Thing is which way do they turn... Could go experienced but Paul Hurst @ Scunthorpe isnt doing great, nor can I think of one who would be useful that is out of work

Would question if they should consider doing what Shrewsbury did by looking down the Leagues as you've got the likes of Matt Taylor and Mike Duff at Cheltenham doing wonders, maybe they should look at the Conference and find another Ricketts like what Shrewsbury did

Someone from abroad though, is that really the right way to go? - Larsson's name might bring in a few people and so raise the gate receipts but is that better than playing it safe?
Harris gets the chop at Millwall and goes there, he finished his career there and was born in Orsett which is about 20 miles from Southend

Millwall decide to go for the random dream team of Doris the Tea Lady and Henrik Larsson, they go down without a whimper but still pick up six points against a lacklustre Charlton side

ouch .. NEVER tempt fate like that again ((:>)

Because he has such a superb managerial record and a great knowledge of league one?
If they want a glamour name, they should go for Sol Campbell. Yes, most of us will agree that Sol is a nob. However, he did really well to keep Macclesfield up last season and deserves a chance higher up.

God knows how but when Millwall beat us with Steve Lomas in charge it meant that anything was possible

my Lincoln fan contacts are just praying that it's not Russell Slade
  • Slade has only just got the Hereford job so unlikely although you never know in football.

Oldham sack Laurent Banide and bring in ex Stevenage boss  Dino Maamria...

I fear that could be the next NW team to collapse, a complete shambles really

    Now confirmed
  • You what?? How many jobs has he had now?  Why does he get employed with all these clubs?  I had never heard from him before this thread opened?

If talking about Appleton this'll be his fifth Managerial position

To be fair he did really well @ Oxford and could be a good appointment at Lincoln, his issue is his loyalty to whoever he's working for

Jumps ship far too often and easily for me

Since reaching the FA Cup Final, something has gone seriously wrong at that club.
Yes, a harsh sacking but Watford have been in freefall

No idea who they'll bring in, but it's unlikely to be one of the usual suspects
Yeah your right... Flores has been re-appointed
Haha, I thought u was joking but nope

Going really well for him after 20 mins today.
  • Marco Silva at Everton can't have long left. Wouldn't be surprised if he was sacked tonight.

He has spunked so much money as well. Definitely deserves the sack.

  • Kenny Jackett & Jack Ross are both hanging on to their jobs. Both sets of fans do not want to be in league 1 for another season

If they won they would have been 4th ...
  • Deserves the sack for spending 40m on Alex Iwobi!
  • Looks like Henrik Larsson is going to be the next Southend Manager

Was in the stands to watch them beat MK Dons yesterday
  • Leyton Orient interim head coach Ross Embleton will step down from his position to revert back to his former role of assistant coach.

The decision comes after the League Two club said they would appoint a new head coach "in the coming weeks".

Surely it was mainly down to Fosu, one of his goals was an incredible solo effort!
