Maybe time to reconsider restricted sales in home areas.
Stand to be corrected but really don't see many West Brom invading home areas and little trouble if they did.2 -
Its such a quick and easy thing to do but it kick-starts a connection between the people running the club and the fans that support it. He's definitely got a likeable way about him.17

There were rumours on here that he was also a workplace bully, which - if true - would certainly have been cause for his employers to caution him about his future behaviour, and to keep a close eye on the situation.Stu_of_Kunming said:

Of course, none of us outside of those who were actually directly involved knows the full circumstances, but there certainly has been a lot of smoke indicating the same source of fire.2 -

I would imagine the new owners will want to see how he works rather than make a decision which could give them a lot of legal grief because us fans don't like him. I suspect they will want to see what Bowyer can do too before offering him a long term contract, despite the fans liking him! It would be par for the course for a new ownership to review everything they have inherited.0

ESI has filed more papers dealing with share allotments available to view in a few days time. Could be ESI has acquired all the assets of the club rather than buying the company. Would eliminate any potential residual legal liabilities for skeletons found in the cupboard re past transactions and mean a new clean start.4

That isn't to say that we're not doing business with Posh, just that that isn't the reason for this meeting. And we could be after Madison or Eisa, not Toney or loaning a youth player?

The way Posh makes it sound is that the meeting they'll be having will be just as a catch up rather than talking transfers0 -
I agree with the earlier comments about hungry players and the Curbs model. I know football has changed dramatically since Curbs built the team to get us out of the Championship in the late 90s, and the sorts of money footballers get these days are crazy, but there must be a way to build a competitive team without going into silly territory when it comes to the balance sheet. I mentioned the Sheff Utd and Burnley models on here before, and I think Wilder and Dyche may share some of the same values that Bowyer does as a manager. Both Dyche and Wilder seem to get players and teams that are working toward the goal of unified success as a team, as opposed to a group of talented individuals each doing their thing inconsistently.
Fosu was a great example. Bowyer pretty much froze him out last season, despite the run in we had and the fact he opted for the likes of Josh Parker ahead of him. I genuinely believe that there are loads of decent gems out there that may take the step up from the lower leagues, like Lockyer & Taylor have, and you only need to combine that with a few bigger players to get success.
We probably don't want to do what Fulham did a few years ago or what Villa did last year and spend millions, because a) I don't think it fits with what our club is all about, and b) it's so risky.
I think a lot owners in football now are past the invest loads of money in the hope it gets them to the Championship, because the last few years are littered with failures, Chansiri at Sheff Wed, Notts Forest etc.
