Yeah I wasnt overly sure at first - For me neither Coleman or Southgate are club Managers, if a Premier League team were to take the latter away from the England job then he'd flop hard - Thought O'Neill might be in the same boat, then again he did well with Shamrock Rovers (whoopie, but took them into the Europa League Group Stages) prior to Northern Irelandbobmunro said:

A case of the manager bringing in players he knows and who he thinks have what it takes to get him out of it. The Barnsley manager is Austrian, has managed these players before and is signing them because he knows their character, as well as their abilities. Plus if there are 3 Austrians, they've got each other to relate to in their own lingo socially if they are away from families.
Germanic peoples have a similar temperament to that of the British, like Scandinavians, Dutch etc - most of them tend to do well enough in the English leagues. Most of them have some grasp of spoken English also. The only issue I can see is how well they'll be accepted by the Barnsley squad .... but English football is pretty cosmopolitan these days, so British players are well used to it.
I reckon there's a good chance they'll soon adapt just fine.

I’m fairly confident we’ll be okay but the problem is that all the hard work to get those points of West Brom and Fulham is undone if we lose at home next week. The three home games next month define our season. Seven points and we’re pretty much safe.

Until we’re either 9 points above relegation or over the points threshold I worry.
We’ve all seen teams suddenly find form and dance out of the relegation positions- like Watford has this year.
No improvement in the squad or more injuries could be fatal this season.
I remain guardedly hopeful the light at the end of the tunnel is near. 🚇3 -

Barnsley and Luton are gone.Wigan have won 3 of their last 20 games.
I think at most we can expect them to win five of their last 14 games and maybe five draws & four losses, if they’re lucky. That’ll put them on 50 points so 50 is still the magic number for me.
Can we find 14 points from 14 games? Home games against Luton, Wigan, Middlesbrough, QPR and Reading as well as away games against Hull and Huddersfield will be key.1
